Update! 4.27.19
Since I havenât posted (or even been on tumblr) in so long, I think everyone (aka all 12 of you) deserve an update.
My boyfriend and I bought a house in Colorado and moved in together. Quite the change from Texas, and thatâs the main reason I havenât been active. The stress of moving, moving in with a SO for the first time, buying a house and moving to a different state all at once. I am happy with those decisions though, dont get me wrong. We also adopted a cat last November, His name is tiger. I got a job at a vet clinic that I loved but sadly lost due health/pay issues. We went back to Texas for a bit to visit family, who after 4 months of us being gone were very happy to see us. Once we visited for a good amount of time we came back home, and we had a puppy waiting for us! Our friends dog had a litter of puppies and we adopted one, her name is Lucky Lucy. And then shortly after getting Lucky, our same friends cat had kittens! So we took a little orange kitty, and his name is Milo. Our little family grew fast.
Medically speaking, I feel like Iâve gotten worse though. Iâm happy with my life right now, but my body feels like it is deteriorating. Since coming home Iâve received a new diagnosis of POTS. We kinda all thought I had it but I had yet to see anyone. Soon after getting home I fractured my radial head (bone in the elbow) on my left arm somehow. All of the ortho doctors here dont feel âqualifiedâ enough to see me, so theyâre sending me to a doctor in Denver. Mind you I live in Trinidad, so Denver is about 4 hours away. Oh well I guess. I mean what am I gonna do?
On the flip side I got a new PCP doctor, who surprisingly actually cares about me and is a good doctor. She does everything she can to help me, and because of her a lot is getting accomplished for me.
Iâm set up to see a neurosurgeon, because I sadly found more holes in my skull. But I will get more info on that soon. I have an electrophysiology now, who is getting me a heart rate monitor, setting me up for genetic testing (to see if I have EDS too), scheduling me for a stress test and some other heart related tests.
Iâm going to reapply for disability, which seems to be hurting my mental health. I guess I havenât really come to terms with being ill.
I think that brings us up to speed. Iâm going to try and keep updating this blog, even if it is just for me.
