Happy Birthday Leona.
It was amazing how much the temperature could change. Savanaclaw's dorm always felt dry and warm during the day, but almost feezing during the night. Resulting in the situation they were in right now.
Leona's arms around their waist, pulling them closer to his chest, despite the heat slowly creeping in the dark room. Doesn't matter how much they tried, his arms seemed only to pull them tighter.
One look at the clock, their eyes widened a bit at the sight. 7:45am, July 27th.
Biting their lips to not squeal, they squirmed a bit more in his arms, which seemed to annoy him a bit but not wake up, just enough to loosen his hold.
With a quiet giggle, they slowly stood up, tiptoeing out of the room as they glance at the beastmen. His hair a total mess, yet looking as soft as ever. Their heart speeding up at how cute he looked, but never daring to say it out loud.
Leaving the room, they noticed how most of the dorm members were already awake, and preparing for their monday classes.
Stepping into the kitchen, which was surprisingly empty for the time, they started to prepare their birthday surprise. A simple breakfast. The meat was already cut and seasoned, frying slowly, making sure to keep it Medium just like they know Leona liked it.
Some dorm members were curious, the smell of fresh meat and butter was enough to attract their attention, including a certain Hyena beastman who had his hand slapped away multiple times by trying to steal a piece of meat.
After some minutes, they walked out of the kitchen, a satisfied smile in their face as the other dorm members looked intrigued at the display. In their hands, a plate with neatly cut meat, and some bacon and toast, alongside a cup of juice to help swallow the food.
Arriving back at the room, they couldn't help but chuckle, noticing it was the exact same as they left, even the pose he was sleeping in hadn't change. Looking back at the clock, 8:03am, they hummed, deciding to let the man sleep for a bit more.
Slowly tiptoeing around, they put the plate and cup on a bedside table, avoiding all the chess pieces scattered around, unaware of a shadow moving behind them.
"So that's where you went to." A raspy and tired voice sounded behind them, before two muscular arms wrapped around their waist, a soft squeal escaping them.
Leona yawns quietly, his chin resting on their shoulder with one eye open, checking the food carefully before nodding, satisfied as one hand picks up a piece of meat, quickly gobbling it down. "Why are you always like thisā¦" They mutter, no annoyance in their voice, as they clean the corner of his lips.
Leona just shrugged, fang biting their thumb gently before he closed his eyes again, his forehead resting on their shoulder.
He felt comfortable there, his arms tightening, a silent message about how thankful he was for the action. How thankful he was that they stayed, with him, despite everything he had done.
With a soft kiss to their neck, he relaxed once again, enjoying the proximity.
"Happy Birthdayā¦" They whispered softly, closing their own eyes as they caressed his cheek, just holding each other lovingly.
