After an incredibly long day away from home, when it's finally time for bed, all that heavy weight matt’s been dragging around all day completely vanishes. You’re already in bed waiting for him; he let you use the bathroom first so you could take your time with your night routine. He drags his feet into the bedroom, wiping the leftover water from his hands onto his shirt. He shuts the door behind him and turns off the overhead light, leaving the room in darkness except for the soft glow of the tv playing some spotify playlist.​

He reaches the foot of the bed and pulls off his shirt with a slow, deliberate movement, casting an intentional silhouette he knows damn well you're admiring. Holding your gaze without saying a word, he rests his hands on either side of your legs, followed by his knees, and begins to slowly crawl over you. He plants a quick kiss on your thigh as he moves up, triggering a look of confusion mixed with an inevitable smile from you.​

He reaches your face. In that instant, any trace of doubt disappears. He stares down at you intently, his eyes locked onto yours; he only drops his gaze for a split second to trace your lips. He takes his time analyzing every single feature of your face, as if trying to memorize you all over again. It’s a heavy, hungry, dominant gaze—intense enough to make you laugh nervously and feel a sudden rush of warmth. Matt just chuckles softly with you, silently teasing you for the fact that he still holds absolute power over making you flustered like this.​

After holding that tension for a few seconds, he presses a firm kiss to your lips, another to your forehead, and drops straight down to your chest, resting his head there and settling all his weight onto you with a long, heavy sigh. Your hands immediately wrap around him; one entangles gently in his hair while the fingers of your other hand trace lightly over his bare back with your nails. He keeps his eyes closed, soaking in your direct touch against his skin. He loves feeling adored, almost as much as he loves adoring you. He allows himself to be selfish for a moment, just soaking in the intimacy, breathing in your perfume, and listening to your heart.​

But being this close to you ends up working against him. The heat of your body and your palm on his back, moving slower and slower, completely spark the fire. Matt adjusts himself over you, shifting his body up until he’s right at neck level. He leaves a tender kiss on your collarbone, another on the side of your neck, and one along your jaw until he finds your lips again. It doesn’t take long for him to grow impatient the second you grant him access to your mouth; he’s drunk on affection and desire. His hips subconsciously press against yours, aligning your bodies and stealing a muffled groan from you.​

That sound is what completely breaks his self-control, and he doesn't waste a second getting completely handsy. His hands slide firmly down your waist, tracing up your back and slipping underneath your clothes, pinning you against the mattress as he begins covering you in deep, desperate kisses.
