Had a cool assignment for a project that one of my favorite dudes (@gomezwastaken) is working on. Large format color film photos of the NYC Fireworks. I thought the results would be shit but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out. Most of these are 5 or 6 exposures on each film sheet. Kodak color film developed by me in my sink. 😂 Shot with a 1923 Auto Graflex on 4x5 film. CPL. William J. Moore WWII Veteran Served with the 38th Corp Army Engineers that built a critical airstrip on Ascension Island which provided a refueling stop and opened a gateway for the United States to supply and augment extensive amphibious aircraft anti submarine patrol operations ongoing from the early days of the war. I shared a moment with him that I won't forget as long as I live. Thank you for telling me the story of your life in wartime and after and the memories you shared about your beloved wife. When we shook hands as I was getting ready to leave he gripped my hand really tight and started to tear up and said thank you to all who care about people like me.
