I finished the picture celebrating Mihawk's birthday and now all three are together, so I put together the birthdays of the Shikiaru group 🦅👻⚔️ 𐙚🎂₊ ⊹

Figured I should do something for #metrilogyweek2026 so here's my non-shep pairs that I've revolved in my head at some point:

Ashley/Kaidan - my absolute fave non-shep pairing, they just have moments in ME1 when you take them around the citadel together not to mention on Virmire when they both hesitate saying goodbye and the idea they were getting close and then were torn apart by virmire just appeals to me along with pretending Virmire doesn't exist and they got to be spectres together and no one died ever, god knows I've dragged people into this ship with me

Jack/Miranda - I mean it is "enemies" to tolerance to ??? that appeals to me plus the Citadel dlc conversation where they show their admiration to each other

Gabby/Sam - every time Gabby corrects Ken he's not her type and he says maybe she should go talk to him and Gabby is like "well maybe I will" I think yeah, maybe you should and the two of them would be cute together

Thane/Kaidan - this was born from them being in Huerta memorial at the same time and clearly were working together briefly during the citadel coup until Thane says they got split up, I think they're both similar in a lot of respects and underestimated by people

Thane/Ashley - okay same sorta idea, also at the hospital at the same time but these two share a devotion to family and religion that I feel would work with each other even if they come at it from different angles

James/Ann - I always take James on the mission to get Ann Bryson in leviathan dlc because then there's the citadel scene after where he shows up at the lab because he admires Ann and doesn't feel it's right to do this and is "I'll be right here" when they start up the orb, I just think it's cute

Tali/Sam - both engineers, both have a tendency to ramble, Sam in ME3 is a bit like Tali in ME1 feeling very out of place on the ship and I think Tali would catch on to that

Sam/Kasumi - this is all @omegastation fault, it's the Citadel dlc part where Kasumi shows up while Sam is talking and is like 'hm stealing the normandy' and Sam is ??? you just know Kasumi would enjoy popping up to surprise Sam at various points on the ship itself
