I’m writing another novel, and one of the main characters really likes to read and overthink. I’m looking to include some poems/quotes from real modern writers (like you!!) in parts of her story.

The book focuses on two high school seniors named Abbie and September (Ember, for short-)

Abbie knows she’s dying of colon cancer, and spends most of her time in bed, grappling with existential dread and watching her favorite YouTuber…

September: a blue-haired comet of a girl with BPD. Ember’s life looks pretty good online, but reality is more complicated. She’s living with her aunts and cousin, and can’t get over her ex-girlfriend. She’s grappling with obsession, self-injury, and raging BPD. She only has one friend aside from her pet rat, and that’s Diego. That is, until she runs into Abbie…

When the two girls meet, their lives tangle together irrevocably (for better or worse)
