This year the thominewt ship grew, thanks to the movie, and with it an influx of new fic came. Fic authors played with the dynamics of a polyamorous relationship in and out of canon, exploring the roles each boy fulfilled and how they affected by external influences. They created beautiful pieces that pulled on our hearts strings until we could never forget them. To show our appreciation to our wonderful fic authors below are the top twenty thominewt fics of 2015, as voted by the shipdom!

Reluctantly they let go of each other. Newt picks up one bag while Minho slings the other over his shoulder. They make their way down to where the studio’s car is going to pick them up to meet the other couple.
Just before they leave the building, Newt stops, turning to Minho with a sweet smile on his face, “Just promise me something.”
Minho furrowed his brows.
“Promise me you won’t make this poor shank fall in love with you.”
Minho grinned jokingly, “You know I can’t make that kind of promise.”
Minho and Newt need money. Badly. They sign up for a reality show where they have to switch partners with another couple.
Two weeks is nothing though… Right?

It had taken them a month to figure out what was by now routine. Newt spent three days at a time with each of his boyfriends. It was almost impossible to explain to anyone else, but Thomas and Minho wouldn’t trade Newt for anything.

The weird thing is that we also go through our day of death having no idea that it’s it.” This prompted me to an AU idea where people do know their death day and month, but not year, so they spend one same day of every year freaking out.

There used to be a time where Newt believed that love was pure. That it was all whispered sweet nothings masked with soft kisses and cuddles, twisted in the bed sheets. Then he met Thomas. His heart shattered at the boy’s harsh words and that’s when he learned to fight back.
Thomas and Newt don’t have a healthy relationship and they constantly fight, both physical and verbal but by the end of the day, they go to sleep in the same bed, the words ‘I love you’ hanging over them along with the silence.

The Grand Paragon is a prestigeous hotel, part of a chain that spans the US and several European countries. Owned and managed by a billionaire family, it is one of the most popular places in town for students to make some extra money.
Newt is really just trying to make it through all of his Anthropology classes unscathed. And he’s managing, working his regular cleaning duty shifts to pay for his flat as he spends the rest of his time being drowned in homework. He’s managing. That is, until the son of the big boss himself takes up residence in the hotel, and life gets a lot more complicated overnight.

You would think Thomas would be glad to be rescued. Happy to learn that some of them had families, real identities. That life was more than what WICKED put them through. But with it came the realization that none still seemed to remember their past.

Though, there are consequences of what happened to him. And Thomas has a past even the memory wipe can’t erase.
