{ 真実 } He couldn’t help but giggle a little more at Yuuki’s playful nature, letting himself be dragged along by the child to see their mother. It was rather sweet, knowing they’d rather see their parents flying together than gaining the ability to fly themselves, but such a wish also hit a bit too close to home. Was that not the desire a certain someone had when he had been lost to darkness? At least, Koto seemed to imply such a thing, but they were too shaken by the thought to tell him everything.
Well, for now he would treasure the happiness Yuuki brought them both. In return, he’d do whatever it took to ensure their own happiness. It was the least he could do for the two people in his life that meant everything to him.
Seeing one of those dear people fast asleep worried him a little, but Koto wasn’t having nightmares, so it was alright. They were tired often, something that he may or may not have had a hand in, but at least now they would be able to get some actual rest. Even with a drawing on their head.
“There, I know they’ll see it when they wake up. In the meantime, what do you want to do, Yuuki?”
To be fair, as a doll, Yuuki had already experienced ‘flying’ of a sorts, though that was merely just floating around behind Shin while he did his work. Then again, they didn’t remember too much of it, besides the occasional dream or nightmare, but they were content to leave that life behind and start anew. Besides, they occasionally hitched rides with their father anyway, so they wouldn’t mind not growing wings. And their previous life still influenced them--all they wanted was for their parents to be happy. But luckily, they had feelings of their own now, wants and needs, and in all honesty, the life now was what they had always wanted--to be human, and for their parents to be happy and safe.
Happiness was abundant in the realm now, after all. That was all that mattered. Day-to-day life was full of smiles and laughs, and any tears were from small things. The smell of death was forever banished from the family, and so they were grateful. Grateful to their parents, and to the forces above that took pity on the angel, the human, and the doll.
Still, even if they’d had a supernatural beginning, they were still a child, and couldn’t help giggling non-stop. Kotose was fast asleep though, the giggles only causing a tiny smile to form on their face in their sleep [ though that smile was hidden by the drawing currently on their head ].
“ Hmmmmm... Ooh ! Ooh !! I know, I know !! Maybe you and I could bake something for Mama for once !! I bet I could do it easy peasy, and you can help too ! ”
