As a person with self diagnosed AVPD, I HAVE experienced some if the worse of the avpd loneliness. But After having much progress with AVPD I have found a few keys and concepts that have helped me a LOT!

IM gonna go ahead and share this video and I hope it helps someone.

It is conveniently time stamped in case you wanna just skip around. But it's only a little short of 24 minutes. It also has some captions and supplemental links.

I am a person of faith so I mention some spiritual things.( As a heads up.) But if you don't belive in a God or god's, this will still help you. I mention mental health topics that you can find anywhere, simply spoken of through an AVPD filter.

Lastly, this is a video series that I've been working on. I've spoken on shame and boldness…and there will be at least one more video left.

I do hope someone who needs it will take something from it and be encouraged.

My Interpretation: Reflections on Sharing your Story

In 8th grade, I wrote a poem called 'My Interpretation.' 

It starts: "A collection of differences, never repeated. Side by side but not overlapped."

I am sure by now you know that a rainbow is not simply represented by what we find in a box of 8 crayons... nor from children's drawings made with those crayons.  The colors blended together in a rainbow more truly represent a spectrum. None is the same color, but the deeper you go, the closer your look, the more unique colors you can spot.  THIS, is much like the people in our world and the stories we all share. NONE can be the exact same. NONE should be disregarded. NONE should be silenced.  

Unfortunately, I find that many do get silenced. Many stories are known. BUT so many more are never heard.  

Another line in the poem states:"Together they fill up our world..." 

This is why a Youtube channel like mine matters. I am here to share another nuanced and VIBRANT take on the same old story...  I have been silenced and know what it's like to be trapped in shame and confusion and helplessness, not knowing my own voice and not being able to let it be heard. I have fought hard to find it. I fight hard to keep it. Without voices like mine, and yours, our world is not full. It is not complete.

The last line says: "My interpretation is that of a Rainbow."  

For those of you who see CHILD OF GOD FROM SCRATCH anyplace online;  PLEASE: make sure I never shut it down. It would be me silencing my voice again... I am tempted to do it from day to day. I get discouraged and frustrated. But please know, I am still here because I now know the importance of keeping a space for myself in the world 🌎 and for others.
