Working on a Zelda-themed tabletop campaign for some friends and turned Ainsel into a half-Zora for it

"I've swallowed ships, thrashed my body across small and insignificant isles, devoured hundreds in a single gulp. And now I am here." AInsel curls into themself beneath the gaze of its ink-black eye, puckered and peeling. "Was it... worth it?" they venture. Its breath rattles the whole of its serpentine body, all the way beneath where it dips back into the ocean. The smell of blood and rot suffocates the air. It is layered, pungent, years of decay dredged to the sunlight it was never meant to see. "Look at me," it replies, the syllable drawn into a wheeze. The air leaves it, one serpentine section at a time, scales shifting and flesh rending as the breath escapes. The sealskin around them, usually warm, seems to turn paper thin under their white-knuckled grip. They lay a hand on the beast's mottled flesh.
