omg im so glad u asked mootie ☆⌒(ゝ。∂) !! my fave mitsukou aspect is that their wishes and desires literally center around each other, and i willll explain,

kou wants to be needed by someone; he’s had this desire for who knows how long. he’s constantly in everyone’s shadow, and for once when he meets mitsuba, he’s given a chance to display he can be trustworthy!!! so he promises to mitsuba that he will make him human.

and on that note with mitsuba, he doesn’t just want being human as his reality; he wants to be human alongside kou. because he literally was a fake human in the picture perfect arc!!! but he wasn’t satisfied unless kou fell for that fake happiness. he wants to be human, only if kou is with him.
