The Fortune’s Fool is a rather quaint ship that’s definitely seen some better days. It once operated as a small cargo ship before being passed off to the current owner, who has turned it into a bounty hunter’s paradise. It’s become home to a small, tight-knit crew, each member being picked up somewhere along their travels. Some were bounty hunters looking for partnership, others just seeking adventure and finding home among the rag-tag group. Regardless of their stories and where they came from, they’ve become a family, operating as such in many ways.

They share the burden of keeping the ship from falling apart, as she’s an old gal and in need of regular maintenance. They split the cash flow equally, though there’s not really much to go around. No really... they’re not really great at their jobs. Whether the collateral damage meets the cost of the bounty or they just straight up miss their target, it’s a wonder they haven’t starved to death.

Regardless, they’re thick as thieves and don’t mind the fact that they’re not rolling in dough (mostly).

I’d love to see maybe 2-3 other crew members! Aside from some general #vibes I’d like to see with the owner, the crew is pretty wide open. I’d love to see someone who is like a tech/mechanical wiz who sorta keeps the ship from completely falling apart (and also helps keep the crews cybernetics up to date on maintenance because that’s important). Maybe someone who’s not even a bounty hunter and might be the crew’s meal ticket?? Who knows, the options are endless! Feel free to message me on discord @ chels#6523 if you’re interested. A veteran of the sky, retired military or police??, Seen Some Shit, Dad Friend™, a grump with a soft and gooey center, takes a backseat approach to missions, lets the younger crew members do the heavy lifting.

halifax always dreamed of escaping viha’s desolate landscape. as a small child, he’d dream of exploring lush, green forests, rolling down hills of soft grass. but his favorite dream was always the one where he free-floated among the stars, able to see viha as nothing more than a speck. perhaps it was more the idea of total freedom that hal yearned for, but he knew the only way to escape would be conscription. it took nineteen long years, but eventually he made it off viha, packed like a sardine among other baby-faced soldiers, each a mix of nerves and excitement.

the other planets were everything hal had ever dreamed of and more. and each planet he visited left him wanting more. his favorite, though, was probably eud. the crisp, fresh air filling his lungs for the first time had filled him with a sense of...peace. like coming home for the first time.
