Jax’s story is tragic because it’s the truth for so many trans and queer people
And I HATE how people were like well it was deserved or he had it coming dude no one deserves suicide first of all
Also she was such a good representation of mental illness and how internalized homophobia/transphobia can affect that and just make it worse I swear all the people going his trauma doesn’t excuse it was so fucking shitty like UGH dude we’re human when we’re hurt by someone but we learn they’ve been hurt and that caused that we immediately feel bad for them we understand that they did not mean it im so fucking tired of this new narrative that just because someone fucked up they don’t deserved forgiveness especially if it’s a mentally ill character

Jax is 22 years old if you subtract all the years she was in the circus she was a TEENAGER when she entered the circus
She was a trans girl from an abusive household with split parents and she was under the belief she accidentally fucking killed her mom AND THEN RAN AND WAS HOMELESS
So yeah I think this excuses her being mean to the other characters who are ALL OLDER THAN HER
For fucks sake ragatha is 30 dude she’s a grown woman

The story of Jax is a kid who never got to come out was from an abusive family and homeless who committed suicide
And I hate the rhetoric that she could have just talked to someone ITS SO FUCKING ABLEIST OPENING UP TO PEOPLE ISNT EASY also considering what happened with her mom yeah dude I wouldn’t talk to other people too
