When I think about all the beautiful tributes to people on the Frontline, healthcare workers, law enforcement etc. I am truly moved, because they need and deserve our thanks, but I'm also VERY ANGRY!!!!🤬 What about those of us at who are STUCK at home under Covid 19 house arrest! There is STRESS and PRESSURE on both sides for essential workers as well as people stuck in their houses! I WISH THAT EVERYONE WHO IS NOT AN ESSENTIAL WORKER OR IN THE MEDIA WOULD STOP FOR JUST A SECOND AND THINK ABOUT THAT!! Whether you have temporarily lost your gig or are out of a job all together, either way you no longer have an income! Unfortunately there has been an increase in drug and alcohol dependencies, as well as domestic disputes! All I ever hear over and over again! directed toward us is stay-at-home, wash your hands, social distancing, we're all in this together 😡 every time I hear one of those phrases I feel like I want to stab myself in my ear canal!! 🔪 I don't feel inspired by the outside world or the media to keep my head up, I don't feel like those of us forced to be indoors completely matter! That's just FUCKING wrong PERIOD!!! The last straw for me, what made me finally want to speak out and say something, was seeing this ridiculous commercial this morning. I know the intention was to make people forced to be inside laugh about our HORRIBLE situation, however personally I don't find it the least bit funny 😡. PEOPLE HAVE PASSED AWAY! Many of the homeless don't have the means to properly protect themselves from this pandemic. So when I see things like this on television, it makes me feel that a certain portion of the media is not completely taking what we're going through seriously, that's OFFENSIVE. I AM DISGUSTED! I'm hoping to hear more people in my position SPEAK OUT! instead of too many corny platitudes! Short Crust Recipe for Dumplings: flour, 2 cups salt, 1 TBSP sugar, 2 TBSP butter, 1½ cups cubed Directions: Place cubes of butter on the bottom of a cast iron skillet or non-stick pan, enough to line the bottom.
