Do you guys have those teas that you just don't touch? Not because they are bad, but because they are soo good and precious to you? It has been a while since my Prague tea trip. And there I found my most beloved tea that I keep hidden for very special occasions - Manwa Yesheng Yabao from Banna House.
I just realized how little I actually drink it, even though I love it so much. Smells and tastes like fresh roses, a super elegant white tea it is! While finally having it today, I realized it is important to cherish this tea, but it should be in the form of drinking it.
Cheers!
The difference of a steeped and unsteeped tea is so crazy. Here you can see jasmine dragon pearl tea in different stages.
Currently drinking this Keemum tea I found in a grocery store, while playing roblox.
The tea is pretty bitter and crumbled, but that's a small price to pay for a grocery store Keemum.
Now, Iam not someone to be optimistic, but I too dream of a bright future. It is so devastating sometimes, realizing this world, filled to the brim with oceans unexplored, languages so melodic and different, foods I'll never taste (pls let me taste fufu before i die) and songs you"ll never get to know is being destroyed. Actively. All the time. By greed. And you can't do jackshit.
When was the last time I entered a freaking store and haven't felt fatigue? I can't even remember... Stores are filled to the brim with trash, constantly replaced with other trash. You are looking at halloween decor, *blink*, it's suddenly christmas in autumn! And you bet they didn't sell most of the stock from last season.
Furniture, I cannot buy new anymore. Why are we even letting companies like Ikea strip forests naked for an ugly white woodchip shelf!
I always talked about second-hand fashion with a few close people, so I don't feel judged. However, lately I started speaking up more and more and it has been freeing. I have been hit with an interesting question tho - "Don't you feel like having clothes after someone else brings bad (spiritual) energy onto you?" I don't know honestly. I think polyester clothes made in a factory with bad conditions and little pay just for my western convenience have worse energy or no?
This has brought me to so many corners of my mind I haven't even swept before. Is this the capitalistic endgame? As an eastern european, I've grown up worshipping this kind of system, where luxury and excess was all I strived to have. I prayed I'd wake up American or somethng. Now I feel so empty and frustrated. Everywhere is the same, Copenhangen or Bratislava, all the stores are the same, all the clothes are the same, people are the same. Everything unique replaced by a quick gray solution brought in by a big corporation. A new matcha latte blueberry chocolate chip cookie and caramel coconut drizzle is not exciting anymore. Restaurants feel like too much, the taste of everything is so overwhelming, it doesn't even taste like food anymore.
Anyways, green tea at 23:00 because why not 😭.

Currently finishing up my vietnam four season oolong, it will be greatly missed!
One thing I love about oolongs except their taste? The amount of infusions you can do with them. It's like, never ending. As someone who loves drinking tea until the taste is gone - oolongs can prove a challenge to me. I sometimes can even do over 10 infusions. This one I couldn't finish yesterday, so I had to save it for today.
Have you guys had oolongs recently? What are some of your favourite things about them, or what are your favourite types?
how did your tea journey even begin? :0
Oh, don't think I ever spoke about this, so good you ask :D. Funny story actually, (tho I didn't find the situation funny at that time).
I used to go to an art-specialized highschool, however I didn't get accepted to a single art college I applied to. Instead of venturing into politics, I was looking for a job through the summer. Which, ofcourse, proved hard with no experience. Somehow, got accepted into 2 jobs, however I got fired from them very shortly after (no idea how I managed to do that, but now Iam glad it happened 😭) Ofcourse, all of this made me feel pretty depressed.
One of my friends messaged me saying a local tearoom was looking for people. I went to the interview and got accepted. I have visited this tearoom before, however I was not too interested or educated in teas.
When I started working there however, I got really into teas, and grew a love for tea ceremonies - something that I haven't understood before. Iam hella introverted, but I loved explaining the process to people, and sharing my free work tea with friends. Lots of my money went into ceramics, and I have a collection now for almost every type of tea, but no regrets on my part.
Might be cliché to say this, but tea, in a way saved me. It is a ritual that really brings out this relaxed feeling in people, the atmosphere of a tea ceremony is amazing. I haven't been as zen and my skin hasn't been as clear since I stopped working in that tearoom - that definitely speaks for itself.
But Iam glad to have this blog, as I want to spread the word of tea wisdom and find like-minded tea drunkards!
Kinda ranty, (Iam sorry Iam a tea account ik) but why is everything AI now? Pinterest is getting bought by OpenAI soon, I already get AI posts there, even tho I turned them off - it feels like my favourite platform is dying. The thing Iam studying is very likely getting replaced by AI, and I feel so dumb and rejected amongst my classmates because I don't want to use it in the design aspect. Social media apps are now riddled with chatbots that I don't want there. Mom sends me a video? AI slop. Youtube has some sections with AI summaries of short comments?? The video of a cute puppy or cat? AI. Now I have to question everything I see. It honestly has put me into a state of sadness I haven't felt in a while. Iam an adult now, and although I knew adulthood won't be easy, I did not expect it to be this level miserable. All the wars, genocides, climate change and this weird techfacism going on. How is one supposed to be hopeful for the future? How does one stay mentally healthy and sane really?
Cup of whippedcream instead of tea because what the f*ck.
Cafe at The Portland art museum has Rothko no. 5 cakes. Something intellectually meaty about seeing the painting in person, and then eating a cake copy. The complete experience. Full spectrum.

Puerh sticky rice
Still one of my alltime favourite Shu Puerhs. The aroma is nutty and you will smell some cooked rice too. I enjoy brewing it for a short time as I find Shu Puerhs a bit too bitter for my liking.

Hope you guys are enjoying the holidays! :D
Here's a Shu Puerh I had yesterday before the Christmas dinner. I think I'll make it a tradition since the dinner is rather heavy. What are some traditions that you guys have around this time of the year? ❄️
Hi there!
I finally did a tea ceremony and honestly I missed it so-so much. Today I had a Korean green tea "Jeju Joongjak". I feel that usually Korean teas have a pretty strong taste. This one was pretty light, (probably cause I've had it in the pantry for quite some time 😶).
I also found these cute vietnamese saucers at a local thriftstore! I love using them :DD.
Did you guys try any korean teas? Highly reccomend them!
