Sir Silly

On December 5th, 1989, Gardenview Entertainment released a public notice regarding stranger danger and the importance of identifying safe adults.

The antagonist of this snippet was an elderly toon by the name of Kramper. An unusually tall, emaciated toon that was designed to capture the essence of Krampus. He played the role of the shady stranger, attempting to lure a child actor into accompanying him under the guise of being Santa.

Shortly after filming, Arthur and Delilah led him to an empty storage room and locked him away. There was no way they could profit off of Kramper in future episodes, so they saw no use for him.

No child would ever want to see that eyesore on their television. Along with this, Kramper’s presence would frighten the other toons, preventing them from meeting their objectives. The only option was to abandon him in the shadows and await his passing.

Fortunately for Kramper, that day never arrived. On a particularly boring afternoon, he scampered up the wall and wedged himself into an air duct. Through many hours of spent in the ventilation system, he discovered every nook and cranny of Gardenview. He didn’t dare to wander too far in the open, as the risk of being caught was daunting.

Eventually, he found himself observing the other toons. Anything that caught his eye became a mental note, from their names, to their routines, to how they dealt with their struggles. He yearned to roam freely like them, not having to only emerge for the bare necessities to keep him afloat.

Around a year later, in the dead of night, Kramper finally gathered the courage to step outside of the air duct. As soon as his hooves hit the clean rug, he dashed across the building, exploring every room he could.

During his venture, he discovered a television broadcasting a commercial featuring Santa and his elves. Intrigued by the sight, he took a seat and watched the screen carefully. When the commercial ended, the title card for Snowy Adventure displayed itself.

As each second of the episode passed, Kramper found himself more intrigued than ever. Santa appeared to be a wonderful person, and so was Bobette. He admired their generosity, their innovative ways, their everything.

Is this what it took to be accepted by the rest? Maybe if he were similar to them, his peers would welcome him with open arms.

Before the episode finished, a hand grasped Kramper’s wrist and yanked him back. It was Delilah, as always. To ensure that he wouldn’t get too far again, she fastened a harness with rusted bells to his torso.

But that did very little to stop Kramper, for he had found a new purpose.

Every December, he parades through Gardenview in the wake of night. Attached to his harness is a wooden basket he built out the walls of his dusty storage room. In this basket, the carcasses of vermin, clumps of matted fur, and other remnants pile up.

Kramper was never able to acquire the best of materials, but each one had been chosen with care. That’s all that matters.

Every toon received a gift, and when he was done, he returned to his storage room to hunt and build more for next Christmas.

Ever since December 1991, the toons have reported a foul stench in the halls and of course, an unpleasant surprise on their nightstands.

Little do they know, this is the doing of their very own Santa, and his name is Kramper.

Gameplay Mechanics

In the game, Kramper is an NPC. From December 21-22 through January 1-2, Kramper spawns on any random floor starting from floor 5. On the floors in which he appears, he acts as a distractor, leading away the fastest twisted there is.
