Rora: Omg, are you good at math? I'm legit about to CRY over this homework assignment :(

“YEAH.” v answered casually, then extended the miniature bottle to her. silently, vanessa eyed her as she unscrewed the bottle. getting the vibe she didn’t do this sort of thing very often, nessa tried to offer aurora some support. clapping her hands together, then cupping one around her mouth, she encouraged with a “woo!” once rora had down the drink, she continued whooping and bounced her way excitedly over to the blonde, like this were a regular house party, “look at you!” she exclaimed with a grin, “did you like fucking love it or what?” 

“Um, thank you?” Aurora awkwardly giggled as she finished off the small bottle of booze. It burned a little bit going down and she thought, do people actually like doing this, all the time? Next time she might need to try something a little more sweet, like wine? “Thank you for letting me have this. It’s not usually my thing but it is a party tonight,” she shrugged her shoulders. 

Date: February 17th, 2021

Time: After school

Location: WMHS auditorium 

“YOU’LL BE FINE.” v assured. rora was a mckinley cheerio now,  which meant, more or less, that she was a friend. because of this, nessa was going to be damn sure she felt welcome and was ready to have a fun valentine’s day. flipping the bottle over in her hand to check, she answered, “fireball.” backtracking a moment, she added, “you don’t have to, just figured i’d like let you in on the fun.” that much was true, but truth be told, knowing how innocent she was just based on this conversation alone, vanessa wasn’t exactly sure this was the time and place for a little inevitable corruption.

“Um, alright,” she nods her head, slowly feeling herself giving into the peer pressure. She wasn’t going to get wasted off one little shooter, right? Aurora was a light weight but she felt like she could handle her liquor decently. “Isn’t that the cinnamon kind?” Clearly she wasn’t much of a partier in the way she was questioning the type of booze it was. “I’ll have it, why not?” she finally just said yes. The blonde was pretty popular and needed to prove it.

“DUH, WHAT OTHER KIND?” v inquired casually as she dispensed a shooter and set it by one of the bathroom sinks. “it’s yours if you want it.” she said, crossing back to the dispenser and getting one for herself. uncapping and downing the small bottle, she looked to rora. she was new, kind, cute, but nessa was definitely interested to see what the girl was like kinda tipsy. vanessa figured nobody was that wholesome and maybe that would show her true nature. regardless, she tossed the now empty bottle into the trash and encouraged her fellow cheerio, “cmon bitch! it’s a holiday!”

“Umm,” Aurora hums outloud as she was now being offered one of the small shooters. The southern girl hardly drank, if at all. She could probably count the number of times on one hand where she actually had more than a sip of something. Biting down on her lip, she shakes her head. “I really shouldn’t, it is a school night after all,” she tries to make up some stupid excuse to not look super lame. “I mean, what kind is it? Maybe I’ll have a tiny bit of it.”

WHEN: candyland, 2/14. WHERE: girls bathroom.

 AS FAR AS NESSA WAS CONCERNED, candyland being a family friendly event was a load of bullshit. between coming to her own conclusions that rocky, her date, absolutely was not beard material and panicking that everyone in the breadstix vicinity was going to randomly be tipped off that she was into girls, v was forever grateful that vanessa-from-three-days-ago had configured the tampon machine in the ladies room to dispense little shooter bottles of alcohol. on and off throughout the night, she made trips to the bathroom for her minis. sometimes she brought friends, other times she shared with other girls in the bathroom, and all around the tipsy feeling that was settling over her ultimately calmed her mind and allowed her to get out of her head and start having fun. making a trip back to the bathroom again, she paused as the door never closed behind her. turning to the person, she raised a curious brow and smirked, “you wanna drink?” 

Aurora had decided to go to Breadstix with her fellow cheerios for a little Valentine’s day fun. She couldn’t say no, a night out with her girls with some delicious food? A perfect combination. The blonde had made her way into the bathroom, needing to reapply her pink lipstick after her meal. Walking inside, she spotted the other girl and offered her a friendly smile. She was just about to grab her makeup out of her little heart purse when she was offered an interesting proposition. 

“Um, like of...the alcoholic variety?” she raised a brow.

MAX: Rad! I'll take half a dozen. Can't eat a dozen red velvet cupcakes all by myself! How much do I owe ya?

MESSAGE: Happy V-Day, Aurora. You’re such a great addition to the team, hope you love this xx.

Miles didn’t have any complaints about interrupting a cheerleading practice to deliver a valentine. Sure, most of the girls on the team were New York 4s, but they were mostly Ohio 7s, so he was going to enjoy performing for them. He let Otto locate Aurora since knowing who people were and knowing their names weren’t strengths of his. “Um, Rora?” He grimaced before handing the card over to Otto to finish introducing the valentine. 

While it was going to be hard to break the habit of interrupting practices and classes, Otto nearly burst into the practice space of the Cheerios for their next Vocal Valentine. She was friendly enough with the squad, but that still didn’t stop her from flashing an apologetic grin towards one of her best friends for the intrusion. “Rora, this is from Lemon,” she said with a smile, locating the two of them and walking closer. “Happy V-Day, Aurora. You’re such a great addition to the team, hope you love this xx.” As she finished reading from a piece of paper, Otto shoved it into her pocket before she was bringing Rora towards Miles with a smile. 

The music kicked in over the speaker and a smirk spread across Miles’ face. He took his time singing, first kneeling down in front of Aurora, but then jumping around to kneel in front of other Cheerios. He didn’t kneel in front of each and every one, skipping the few that he deemed too damn ugly. His signature smirk stayed planted onto his face as he sent each cheerleader a wink, before bellowing into the chorus with his partner.

It was entertaining to see the performance that Miles always put on, but in a group of Cheerios? Otto felt weirdly comfortable with being silly and dancing around, trying to get each and every girl involved in the Vocal Valentine. With the Glee club harassing nearly everyone at this point, it was easy to see everyone’s guards falling as they joined in on the fun. Otto returned back to Miles as they began the chorus, winking in his direction as they sang the harmonies nearly perfect. She used to be intimidated by Miles, but the same couldn’t be said any longer. 

NOAH: shit that actually sounds really cool

MAX: I don't really have a special someone to share them with, but cupcakes sound amazing.

MAX: What flavors? Chocolate, vanilla, strawberry? Red velvet? I'm very interested.
