The poor deer remained stuck in the headlights for a long, uncomfortable moment... before, a light bulb gyftmas light lit up in her head, and she finally broke the crushing stillness- slowly lifting her hands up from behind her back. And up over her head.

Held up in her raised hands, still well within reach of the other thanks to her minuscule height, was the unmistakable form of a heart-shaped gift- dressed up in green wrapping paper, with a yellow ribbon tied around it’s middle.
