the  lafeyette  family,  the  closest  thing  the  country  of  france  had  to  nobility  ,  both  in  part  to  ancesteral  ties  as  well  as  maintaining  a  powerful  position  within  the  country  unlike  many  of  their  peers  .  the  patriarch  of  the  modern  day  lafayette  family  became  widely  successful  as  a  shipping  magnate  (  or  tycoon  )  in  the  early  1900s  when  he  founded  lafayette  brother's  maritime  .  becoming  a  major  tie  between  the  world  and  enabling  easier  trade  between  countries  .  making  mr.  lafayette  wealthy  beyond  belief  as  well  as  an  intergal  piece  within  forgein  policy  .  through  generations  the  company  ventured  futher  into  luxury  mega  yachts  and  in  turn  coating  the  lafayette  family  in  a  shiney  new  armour  that  made  fashionable  society  more  aware  of  their  existence  .  they  were  inpenatrable  though  ,  closed  off  to  anyone  who  wasn't  within  their  circles  .  despite  their  high  profile  and  elite  connections  ,  the  lafayette  family  prioritized  privacy  and  exclusivity  .
