“Why is Hulk out? Are the bad things over now?” He hopes that it’s true, but he knows it isn’t. The bad times never really go away. Just get less bad. Still, it’s strange that Devil let him out without getting mad. He guesses Devil must trust the lady. He didn’t think he trusted anyone.

The journalist smiles up at him, glad to realize he remembers her, even with their first meeting having been at such a rough time. “You can call me Jackie.” She offers. “The bad things are over for now. I thought you might need to know it was safe again.”

“Ya know a girl like you shouldn’t be out so late by yourself. Good thing I’m an Avenger, here to protect you.”

“ maybe, but that’s life. you go through more than you can handle and then, if you’re lucky, you die. ”

After scouting around a bit he found a payphone and made a collect call. “I… I need help. I need a pick up. Clothes, shoes, money, everything.” He said as he tried to fight the fatigue and incredible headache that made him want to crawl off and hide somewhere for a few days
