Chasing the Sun

One of my best finds is Zorgvliet, just over the Helshoogte Pass and beautiful in all respects. The rooms are plush and perfect: tastefully furnished and if you manage to get one with a bath or a fireplace, it’s particularly wonderful. There’s wine tasting on the premises, an outdoor pool with sun loungers and the breakfast is top-notch. This miniature paradise is perfect if you feel like hiding out for a few days. Venturing into Stellenbosch or the Franschhoek village is also possible with a short drive.

It seems I’ve found my way back to you. Where was I? In lala land, preoccupied by the excuse that is the busyness of daily life - a poor excuse - and one which should NEVER get in the way of making time for self-reflection, honest expression and creative pursuits.
