Alexandria typically wasn’t alarmed by much but as she felt the jolt of the elevator, Alex’s hands immediately moved to grip the railing, “Tell me right now that wasn’t the elevator.” 

“ why would i check the weather when i have you to boss around ? ” he commented with an obnoxious grin. “ next week. thank you, dear glowing sky orb for your blessings, ” adrian announced towards the sky. barely catching the ball, he spiraled it back at chase. “ can’t wait to still all the women you’re interested in. ”

Any interest in either the conversation or the person standing in front of her was completely wiped clean from her face. “Hm, would now be a weird time to arrest you?” 

“All you gotta do is press the button and change angles when I say so,” Penelope said.

“Seriously? I only have twenty minutes left of my break. What do you want?”

“It can, but something tells me for you it’s more of the latter.” He told the other with a shrug, “I can’t remember the last time you asked me to come and shoot some hoops with you.” Cedric commented, listening to the other and smirking. “Guilty. But then again, who wouldn’t like the attention.”

“And so what if it is?” he shrugged, still taking the time to grin back at the girls. “Right? You’d have to be crazy not to love all this attention,” Chase replied. He took another glance at the group before looking over to Cedric and passing the ball again, “So, which one do you want dibs on?”

“Are you saying you have shitty photography skills?” Penny asked, raising her brow, “It’s not for the likes. It’s for the aesthetic.”

adrian matched his fingers to the laces before sending the football spiraling towards chase. “ man, how many more weeks do you think we have left until bikini season starts ? it’s been too long a winter. ”

“ a single flower ? how… chivalrous of you. ” juliette took the flower, carefully spinning it in one hand to be certain it was insect-free. “ if you’re attempting to charm me, i do believe the saying involve diamonds and not daisies, ” she teased.

“Stop being such a sour puss. It’s not gonna take that long,” Penny said with an amused roll of her eyes, “The park. Come on!” She took his arm and pulled him in that direction.

“It’s impossible to take a bad photo of me, sweetheart,” Penny said, “But there’s no buffet if you do,” She added quickly with warning finger pointed at him, “No. I’m wearing this outfit for a reason. Stop stereotyping.”

“Can’t it be both?” Chase grinned, winking at a small group of girls who had looked over at them from their bench. “C’mon– don’t pretend like you’re not enjoying this too,” he added before throwing the ball back over to Cedric.

“Why do that when I can torture you with it?” Penny asked with a sickly sweet smile. Ignoring the fact that that was not something she could afford anymore, “You’ll do fine, come on.”

“Okay the sun is shining and I want some good pictures for my feed. You’re… well, here so you can be my photographer,” Penelope said, “And before you say no, there is an all you can eat buffet at the diner on me with your name on it at the end of the afternoon.”

“Are you saying I’m not enough for you, if I care that much I would be wounded right now.” Cedric commented, placing a hand over his chest. “But sure, count me in. We’ll have to invite Dawn though, the last time I didn’t and she wouldn’t let me forget it for at least a month.”

“I love you bud, but a man has his needs. Needs that you don’t exactly tick the boxes for in my book,” Chase replied. “Have to?” he raised a brow. “She’s really weaseled her way into your inner circle, hmm? Should I be worried about being replaced?”

“And invest that much time into it?” He said with a raised eyebrow. “And money. Seems a waste. Could just get you to go lurking for me.” He teased.

“I mean if you’re not bothered that’s fine, suit yourself,” he shrugged. At the other’s teasing Chase gave him a shove, “Like I could be fucked to do that for you.”
