"Hey, how you doin'? Check this out-," he grinned, handing over one of his freshly printed new business cards - Freddie Slothmore, taxi cab, get there in a Flash! - "What d'ya think, huh?" @happieststarters

"flash! these look so fab!" she clapped her hands "hang on, let me take a photo. i'll post it on my socials for you, my local followers would love to know that there's someone running a cab service" charlotte pulled out her phone and snapped a quick photo to upload to her instagram.

now that hans and charlotte were together - really, truly, together - it felt like they always had been. it felt like everything had fallen into place. everything that had been so out of control in hans' life, tearing through his mind like a hurricane, stilled when he was with her. hans would do anything to make her happy, and more than anything he didn't want to mess this up. he wouldn't.

"thank you, and you look so handsome" she complimented. charlotte squeezed his hand and closed the gap, peppering his face with kisses "i love them. you spoil me too much" she smiled, it wasn't like she didn't do the exact same in spoiling him with all his favourites. she took the moment they share now to enjoy that they had finally figured everything out. it had taken a while and it was an uphill battle, but they prevailed.

hans couldn't help grinning as she squealed excitedly. she was just so wonderful, wasn't she? he would do anything to make her happy. "it is," he chuckled. he quietened as she kissed his cheek, his heart giving a quick skip.

these type of events racked her excitement levels up to one hundred, and poor hans for having to navigate charlottes overwhelming joy. the smile hadn't left her face all night and she didn't think it would leave anytime soon.

hans let out a breath he felt like he'd been holding all his life. before this year, he had always thought so dearly of charlotte. they had always been involved, one way or another. he had always cared for her, even when he hadn't really known how to. a part of him had longed to hear her say this, but that part never could have admitted it. at least, not back then. hans hadn't felt loved in a very long time, and it wasn't something that had been terribly important to him. at least, that's what he'd told himself.

she never much believed in theories like the red string of fate, but if there was one person she was forever tied to it was hans. they had reached every check point from strangers to couple over the years and she'd stick around to see what the next chapters would be. she loved him and he loved her. that was all she needed.

hans chuckled at her compliment, kissing the tip of her perfect nose. he was so - the word honestly escaped him for a concerning amount of time because he so often wasn't - happy. he was happy. if he could stay here with her, stuck in this moment forever, he would. hans had made so many mistakes this year and wasted so much time. he was determined to make it up to her, however long it takes.

she scrunched her nose with a smile, beaming with joy that they had finally found their way to one another. even without this, seeing hans in a better place was all she could ask for. the past was the past and seeing her best friend feeling better and back to himself meant the world to her.

"thank you, my reputation is all i have. that and dezi's black stiletto boots," she added. charlotte was such a sweetheart, it was unbelievable. unbearable. she wished so much that they were like, actual besties or something. "oh, that'd be pretty cool. and what about you? did you, um, sort everything out with your smoking hot santa?"

"you still have her boots? she'll not be happy about that" she laughed, poor anastasia will be in for it when deziree finds out. "you'll find your person, they're out looking for you." she reassured her with a smile. she wanted nothing but the best for anastasia "my smoking hot santa and i worked everything out." charlotte answered with that lovestruck look that only hans could bring to her face "i really like him, stas. like really like him. i think he's the one"

"that is a truly wonderful sentiment, miss la bouff. i'm sure it won't be the last celebration we see in this town, then. oh... i don't know about that, i might have to crawl back into it after this evening. i don't have your sparkle," he added kindly. charlotte was more than happy to talk about her life and this town.

"oh no, this town loves a good party and always plans great event to do just that. mr guzman, i have every bit of confidence that you're going to find incredible people here that you'll form lifelong relationships with. this is a town that everyone talks to everyone, you're part of that now" she beamed a bright smile

"It's a lot of pink, Lottie. Where's your accent colour?"

"it's pink. it's all pink. there's a bit of baby pink here but still, it's fun, dezi."

Alice blinked. And blinked some more. They couldn't help but feel like they had asked the wrong person, and now Alice was trying very hard to think of a normal reply. "Um… Well, sometimes yes. Other times, no. Don't you think we have a track record of eventful events here?"

"well...yeah...but not all of them are like that. and despite all the bad that has happened, really beautiful moments have happened for people at town events as well. i'm choosing to look at the positive stuff"

valentine's weekend didn't mean much to him since he wasn't in a relationship, but it was a nice change of pace to see the majority of the town happy and having fun, especially since the poisonings looked to have ceased.

charlotte was out for an evening walk, enjoying the last of the day before the nighttime rolled in. turning the corner in the park, she spotted bam in the distance and made her way over to say hello.

Alice had stopped in their tracks in the middle of the sidwalk, head tilted as they admired a new, pristine poster on the cafe wall. "A festival? We've never had one of those here before."

"a festival?! oh how fun" she beamed at the poster on the cafe wall that alice had pointed out to her "i love town events, don't you?"

"You look like an Easter egg..."

"thanks! it's all the pink. it's so fun!"
