I think Vic Sage should be ugly as shit
Michael Cho's alternate cover to The Multiversity: Pax Americana (January, 2015).
This is a very Watchmen-like story featuring the Charlton superheroes on Earth-4 in The New 52 (boo!) multiverse.
The Charlton heroes originally inhabited the pre-Crisis On Infinite Earths Earth-4. They were the characters Alan Moore wanted to use for Watchmen. DC editorial, however, was afraid the characters would be unusable after that story, so Moore and artist Dave Gibbons created analogues of the heroes instead.
Being a randian objectivist asshole at first, and moving away from that is an incredibly important part of Vic Sage's character.
As Richard Dragon said to him, Vic is a very curious person and, however the very simplistic and individualist view of the world that said objectivism lead him too made him a less effective detective and crime fighter. I feel if Vic is adapted, it should be in a TV, where the first episode features him heavily as a dick head so we can better see his growth
idk why but i woke up today with a huge appreciation for the end of Dennis O'Neil's Question run and specifically the fact that Vic not sleeping for days actually had negative consequences.
As someone with a history with Batman (mainly the cartoons) and the batfam fandom i feel there have almost never been consequences for forgoing sleep other than "i feel bad." But in The Question they have Vic get onto a car wreck, get his clothes stolen bc the city is hell on earth at the moment, wander the streets nude in a delirious state while having weird dreams about his parental abandonment and how he really needs to leave this city or else he's gonna die, and then finally find refuge by cozying down in the hay of a church's nativity scene (it was winter btw). Like, where else am i gonna get THAT!
I'm sure there are comics, movies, and fanfic that show batman and co having similar things happen bc of not sleeping but i haven't encountered them, so this was really special to me.

Wrong Question
Not that great but I animate sometimes.
Thats the question
Ted Kord would wear this me thinks
One of the best parts about Shiva is when she feels like she exists in a separate genre from everyone else.
Part of what makes Shiva so compelling in Question is that she's pretty much a wuxia wandering warrior stepping into a gritty hard-boiled crime story and it absolutely rules.
Two-fisted tough guy vigilante Vic Sage, supremely confident that he's ready for anything these mean streets can throw at him, runs into what's basically Michelle Yeoh in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and he cannot handle it physically, mentally or spiritually.
"Boys, boys, can't we all get along?" Aka my favorite vic panel

Lex Luthor in Justice League Unlimited 2.09 - Question Authority
#absolutely iconic #dc keeps trying to make lex luthor into the ultimate supervillain in their comics #but tbh they should just give up #because nothing they can write will ever go as hard as this scene #do you know how much power i’d have to give up to be president? #is the rawest thing ever uttered by a villain #you can’t top it tags via fialleril
Writers who truly understand the ways characters are evil are fucking amazing.
Autism culture is finding the most obscure character in your favorite media and your brain just going, "Yep. That's the one". And just gripping onto that character and refusing to let go.
Yall already know
