Some test faces I iterated for a personal project I’m working on involving characters set in Victorian London, meet the Witch, the Seer, the plague doctor and the companion who ‘kinda walked in on the adventure and is trying his best’ :’)

I finished them! You may have seen the work in progress version floating around since I was super shocked at the amount of notes! But here are the final versions

Figure drawing, my lines are starting to get much cleaner with these :)

Following on from practising with drawing legs, it was then on to arms and looking at the different muscle types.

Asides from the first/larger version on the left side, the rest of these were all drawn from various references. Practicing leg anatomy!

Blood Elf Priest sketch in the new 7.3 armour that will be releasing with the next raid! Had to do a sketch of my character in it :)

Face studies from Andrew Loomis’s book ‘Drawing the Head and Hands’. It’s really interesting to read how he thinks about the structuring of it and I would highly recommend!

Part of a personal project where I’m designing my own race with its own culture, environments, clothing and architecture influenced by Madagascar. So naturally I wanted to experiment with features from different types of Lemurs found there for my core race design, like the ring-tailed, aye-aye, dwarf, indri, lepilemur and red/black ruffed. I didn’t know much about this culture when starting the project so it’s really interesting to learn about!

Flail sketches, inspired by the Artifact weapons in World of Warcraft, I thought I would have a go at concepting my own.

I want to get better at drawing different types of faces so I’ve been very drawn to the amazing ‘Humanae’ photography project from Angelica Dass, which features a range of different men and women to show the chromatic range in different skin colours. I definitely hope to do more studies from her work in addition to coloured ones as well to test out various brushes, techniques and to improve upon painting skin.  You can find her work here --> http://humanae.tumblr.com
