character makeovers

hi y'all! my name is waxine, and a lot of you know me from my blog @every-tedious-beat. my friend @the-gateway-to-madness convinced me to start a blog doing color analysis on yall's ocs, but i figured i'd expand it to doing full makeovers and stuff for your ocs AND favorite canon characters! i am a fashion student who loves everything to do with fragrance, makeup, and beauty, and i'd love to assign signature scents and outfits and basically whatever you want to y'all's faves!

for our two leading doofuses 🫴

sorry i let this rot in my asks for so long!! it takes me an hour to make these so i can only do like one a day, but here we are.

for 5012, i recommend "gentle fluidity silver" by maison francis kurkdijan. it has notes of pineapple, juniper berries, coriander, and cedarwood. this is a fragrance that works for everything. i have not played adwd, but i know 5012's type. he doesn't want something too offensive or strong, but still wants to appear put together. this is the perfect fragrance for that. i've had the pleasure of smelling this one in person, and it's an appealing, masculine, clean scent thatit works for day, night, work, social events, and all seasons.

i'm loving the grungy, techwear vibes i'm seeing here. there's a lot of fun fashion houses that do this sort of thing. like...

this look from anne demeulermeester fall '25. demeulermeester's recent designs all follow this dark, distressed aesthetic. it is full on grunge, even a little deconstructionalist. it might be a little out of katie's comfort zone, but no one can deny that outfit is cool. i think she could pull it off.

going more in the techwear location, i would recommend this look from db berdan. this look would be so cool with katie's green hair. to make this more alternative, i would add this bag.

this bag is from the patron house of alternative style, vivienne westwood. the studs add visually interesting texture to any outfit and elevate it instantly. i know i said this bag should go with the second outfit, but i think that it would go equally well with the first.

now, for fragrance

this is "bad boys are no good, but good boys are no fun" by kilian. i haven't smelled this one, but i'm dying to, because it smells like one of my favorite drinks: coca cola with a lime slice. it also has notes of leather and green apple. many people say this pulls more androgynous and dries down to a woody scent, with a hint of sweet freshness from the lime note. katie's style does lean a bit more androgynous, so i think she could pull this off!!

for outfits, it looks like hoshi has a very sweet, yet fun and playful style possibly even influenced by a little bit of lolita. we're going to play into this a LOT.

for a fun and playful look, i would assign hoshi something like this from chanel's ss25 collection

i don't love a ton of chanel's recent looks, but i really like this one. the pastel colors are very easy on the eye, but the patterns on it give it an added touch of playfulness.

this look is from the same collection, and i think it equally suits hoshi. the romper also plays into the schoolgirl vibes of the outfit you have her in already.

now i mentioned lolita above. it looks like hoshi's style isn't full-on lolita, but takes some inspiration from it. this dress is from kimberly gordon, and takes inspiration from girls' clothing in the victorian era. this dress is actually very similar to what hoshi has on, so i know she'd like it.

lastly for fragrance, i recommend ouai "melrose place"

i own this fragrance, and i have to say, it's gone triple platinum in my house. this is a soft, fresh, sweet, youthful rose fragrance. it's noticeable, but not overpowering. many rose fragrances smell very grandmotherly, but not this one. the energy of this fragrance echoes hoshi's style, and that's why i think she'd like it.

I'm confident in Cara's wardrobe, hence why I just needed fragrance recs for her. McKenzie tho...

I think she needs her clothing style refined. I know she prefers light colors and light fabrics and lacey touches, but that's about it. What do I put in her wardrobe o fashionable one?

i miss you too!! once again, i know and love your ocs sm, so this is real fun for me.

the key phrase here is "light colors...light fabrics and lacey touches." with that phrase, i am immediately tipped off to ten billion quadrillion ideas. let me share with the class.

"light, lacey, and flowy" might as well be the brand tagline for chloe. they combine feminine, bohemian, and classy into their own magical manifestations. i could see kenz wearing this to a dressy event with the shoes and bag below:

pretty miu miu caribu leather tote to carry all her textbooks, laptop, water bottle, etc.

now i feel like i should pick something a little more every day for kenz.

try something like this from celine once again. it's totally beautiful, yet has a casual ease to it. mckenzie's style in some ways reminds me of my own oc brynne (whose post will be coming soon), so i've been picking things that she would wear.

wait now that i'm looking at that outfit i'm seeing how cute it is i might copy it for work tmrw

anyway, for another more casual look, she could do this romper from duomar

with this outfit, i would add these sneakers from alohas

finally, miss girl needs a fragrance.

i recommend commodity "milk orchid" and you should take this as a high honor. me and @too-sweet4me waited for a YEAR to smell this because it kept selling out. i'll tell y'all tho. it was WORTH IT. this one smells... cool as in the temperature. it's like chilled coconut milk with a floral garnish. gentle, yet definitely there.

just looked up pictures. my gosh that is an unfortunate situation, but we've got good bones to start with. let me work my magic here.

let's start with the one thing i like: his hair. i love long hair on guys. especially since krel is a prince, it does give him that royal, romantic fairytale vibe. the only thing i would change, and it could just be the animation style, but i would give him a messier, more textured look with wispies in the front. something like this.

next, for his color season, the blues and blacks he usually wears are not working for him. with his hair, skin, and eyes, he is definitely a warm autumn.

for his clothes, i get that he's a teenage boy, but i was recently waiting to pick up dinner at a restaurant and was surrounded by a ton of them, and all i could think was "i wish you all had better outfits." in light of that, let me find some things.

something like this outfit from JW Anderson would work for him. it's classic, with a little bit of edge from the looser fitted jeans. you can imagine it with or without the bag, but idk, i feel like krel might enjoy having a bag to carry around his toolkit.

this outfit is from ralph lauren. for krel, i would leave out the sweater around the waist, as i think it's too preppy for him, but the rest of the outfit definitely works. the warm red of the jacket is in his color season. it looks put together, but a little edgy, and wouldn't draw too much attention, as i know he's trying to blend in when in his human form.

for scent, i recommend "sedley" by parfum de marly

this fragrance is a little bit on the androgynous side, but i think he could get into it. it's nothing special, but it's certainly agreeable. lots of people they get a carbonated, fizzy sprite note on the opening, but when i smelled it, it smelled like a musky, lavender-y soap, like freshly stepping from the shower. i know we're not trying to draw too much attention, so this one i think is a perfect pick.

taneth "tani" liiriel o'malley-gilwraeth is the son of kaliis gilwraeth and aurora jie-lin o'malley. he's 21, currently in college for violin while touring the galaxy with his band over the summer. how he does it? we don't know, but he looks good doing it.

tani has a golden undertone to his olive skin that he gets from his syldrathi side, and that combined with his hair color and eyes, my tani is a warm autumn!

for clothing, tani has two distinct styles. one for onstage, and one for off. he's an old soul at heart, and is very inspired by the fashions of the 1970s.

this^ look from versace ss25 is a great representation of his style onstage, and the one from roberto cavalli (2017) below is what he wears while performing. he takes the phrase, "masculine, but in a peacock way," very seriously.

for his fragrance, the recent one i've been loving for him is "althair" from parfums de marly.

right away, i'm seeing dark fairy vibes, and you're in luck, because rodarte's f23 collection centers around that. it's mystical. it's gothic. it's feminine. i highly recommend looking up pictures of this one on pinterest.

this look is from betsey johnson in the 90s. many brands in the 90s gravitated toward this witchy, bohemian look that i just love. perfect for making potions in a hollowed out tree stump.

my last pick is from the very first designer i thought of when i saw your character: anna sui. anna sui is known for her dark, edgy, feminine clothing.

lastly for a fragrance, i recommend "lolita lempicka" by the brand of the same name. it's sweet, it's vanilla, but it has darker elements with a powdery iris note, and a hint of anise and cherry. a fragrantica reviewer described it as "a forest witch who shops at sephora," which i think is the perfect description of this perfume.
