Greatly shown in the aurora cycle through Cat, Scar and Tyler (they all have servere abandonment isssues) . It's not that obvious like Fin's self-hatred or Kal's anger issues, but it's still obviously there.

Cat Brannock

Most obvious is her ... light drinking problem. It was not shown that deeply, but it was implied more than once and it was even shown once, where she met the GIA in the var. She tries to drink her problems away instead of facing them clear headed.

And she has a huge fear of not being loved or being left alone. She lost her mother due to a disease as kid (other family was never mentioned) and withnessed her best friends lose their father to a war. She learned pretty soon that persons often won't stay, so she puts them, who really mean something to her close and ignores the rest. She stayed with Tyler after he dumped her, because it was "inconvinient"! That's more than simple loyality. Scarlett and Tyler were EVERYTING to her. While losing her will to the Ra'haam her biggest fear was not being loved. She wanted to be a pilot because her mom was one. Possesed by the Ra'haam she still wanted to be with Tyler (the boy who dumped her).

Scarlett Jones

Scarlett has as well a huge fear of being left alone. Probably inflicted by losing her only family member (besides her twin) at the age of ten. She entered the Aurora Academy for Tyler, she couldn't leave him, despite he suggested that he goes alone (they both knew that the academy was not what Scar wanted). But everything she did was more or less to protect her little brother. She once even said that she feared that Tyler will meet the same end as their father. Her father who she never quit forgave for "leaving" them even though he worked/fought for a noble cause.

As well her amount of relationships. It's not the fact that she has a lot of sexual partners, but with most of them she always STARTS a relationship, but in never lasts long. Like she's deperately searching for love, however leaves them before they can leave her.

Tyler Jones

The fear of not being loved or abandonment is not so present with him. He glorified the death of his father and always had his older sister and best friend with him.
