Now Peter Pan came out in 1928...
which one of u was going to tell me that tea tastes different if u put it in hot water?
y- you were putting it in cold water?????
Radish. Answer the question radish.
yeah??? i thought for like. 5 years that ppl just put it in hot water 2 speed up the tea-ification process didn’t realize there was an actual reason
You dont have the patience to microwave water for 3 minutes???
[ID: Tags reading “u think i have the patience to boil water wtf ?????” /End ID]
why are you. putting it in the microwave to boil it
Do you think I have the patience to boil water on the stove
Its takes less than a minute
Bestie is ur stovetop powered by the fucking sun
How long does it take you to boil a cup of water on the stove
Like seven minutes
Just stick the mug on top of the stove on medium heat n it boils in like two minutes… less than that is u use a saucepan…
Crying you’re putting the whole mug on the stove ???? On medium heat???? Ur stove is enchanted
Every single person in this post is a fucking lunatic
Yet another post that reads like four shakespeare characters who come out in the middle of the play to talk about something completely unrelated for comic relief
(Enter RADISHN’T, MOTHMAN MISATO, BOIMG FROG and CATS'N RAINCOATS, stage left. They are having a HEATED DISCUSSION.)
RADISHN’T: Prithee, which one of you had planned to tell
Of diff'rent flavours gained by simple act
Of brewing tea with water hot, not cold?
MOTHMAN: Egad! you poured the water cold? Wherefore?!
FROG: An answer from you, Radish, I must beg.
RADISHN’T: Indeed I did, dear friends - why does this shock?
Without the guide of others I assumed
That heat was merely added for the sake
Of expediting this solution’s brewing!
Half a decade I have spent, or more,
Not questioning this worldview I had made.
In fact, I am myself a bit surprised
That you might think that I, your dearest friend,
Might have a patience of sufficient stock
To wait until a pot of water boils.
FROG: Three minutes overtaxes patience so?
The microwave will beep when it is done!
CATS'N: My friend, this answer vexes me the more!
Can it be true that thou dost boil by nuke?!
FROG: Are you in turn, my friend, so shocked to know
That I have not the patience, like our Root,
To boil upon the stove our favour’d drink?
CATS'N: It takes less than a minute!
FROG: On what plate?
Perhaps your dinner cooks atop the sun?
CATS'N: How long can take your stove to fill the task
Of boiling but a single cup alone?
FROG: In minutes?
CATS'N: Yes!
FROG: I counted seven, once.
CATS'N: Perhaps you ought to have your timepiece checked!
If on a middle heat you place the cup
You soon will have the scalding drink you crave.
Two minutes, in a mug upon the plate
Or even less, if you should have a pot.
FROG: You cause me tears - is this how thou dost live?
You place upon the iron stove a mug?
A mug, ceramic, filled with water cold?
How do these flames, though medium in height,
Not shatter like a glass this fragile thing?
Surely, then, your kitchen is bewitched
With magicks far beyond the mortal ken!
(The FOUR realise they have wandered into the THRONE ROOM. The ROYAL COURT watches with fascination.)
KING: Ev'ry single person in this group must be a fucking lunatic, it seems.
Do I even know any neurotypicals? Where the fuck do I find one?
I know there’s some people drawing blue aasimars with flaming wings and halos and, while absolutely valid, those are just temporary accessories used when fighting (at least in 5e). More naturally sexy eldritch aasimars please ❤
Y'all are tagging stuff like floating eyes and multiple heads and burning halos- that’s cool but NOT what I meant! But that’s on me for using the word “eldritch” in the wrong context, so my apologies.
Please follow me: do tieflings get demonic power ups when fighting? Do tieflings get animal heads, burning eyes and other weird body horror stuff? Does EVERY tiefling come with a pair of functional wings? Neither do aasimars in 5e, only one in three subraces!
Tieflings traits are obvious and unnerving but anatomically possible and harmless! See:
Most have unnatural skin: while there are tieflings of human colors, most come in shades of red or blue
They have a freacking TAIL
Horns. Two, some players add four!
Black, white, gold (and more) colored eyes with no visible pupils
Optional but possible (tiefling variant): fangs, forked tongue, catlike eyes, 6 fingers per hand, goatlike legs with cloven hoofs, forked tail, leathery skin, can’t cast a shadow or reflection, functional bat wings, exude a faint smELL OF BRIMSTONE?!?
Now, floating eyes are cool, but… it’s a little too much, come on. Even for d&d. Unless you’re playing a spellcaster and it’s a temporary side effect of using magic…? I don’t want to limit your creativity of course, go play all the biblically accurate aasimars you want! You’re cool! ❤
But me? No thank you. Now, based on tiefling traits, let me list some Unnerving Yet Harmless and Sexy aasimar traits:
Unnatural skin colors, mostly green and purple. Human colored aasimars are still possible, but rare
Their hair shines like it’s made of metal, or it’s always moving like it’s underwater or in the breeze
You know how some angels have the head of a lion and/or a bull? Add that animal’s tail instead!
Unnatural eyes. Maybe they have no pupils, maybe they look like gemstones or like they’re filled with water and glitter ✨
Optional but possible: metallic teeth, pitch black tongue, goatlike eyes, 6 fingers per hand, a weird number of eyes (1, 3 or 4, not floating around but on their FACE thank you), multiple tails, furry skin, emits two voices at the same time (like two people saying the same thing at the same time), functional bird wings (all the time, not just when fighting), exude a faint smell of incense
Pro tip: you know how, in 5e, every aasimar can cast the Light cantrip at will? Have your aasimar character cast it in the shape of a halo floating on their head!
Aaand that’s it, thanks for reading and for the kind suggestions in the tags, keep in mind that English isn’t my first language so if something isn’t clear feel free to ask me ❤

The negative reactions to that post of a creepy bookshelf I posted a week or so ago remind me a little of some similar reactions to my “cursed biology” posts.
Just as some people said, “You must have never been in a library before!” and “You must not know what these books are!” because I described that bookshelf as uncanny, people would also accuse me of ignorance about the natural world for describing biology facts as Creepy and Scary.
People would also get very offended at my perceived “negativity.”
It seems like there’s no place in some people’s minds for responses to the world outside of “comfortable understanding” or “fearful ignorance,” to the extent that “This unsettles me” is taken as both a negative statement and one that can only come from ignorance.
If you understand something, they seem to feel that it should not unnerve you, and that state of being unnerved and thrown off is something bad.
I don’t agree with this. I think that a full experience of the world comes with the ability to coexist with the Other and let it make you mortal. Yes, geologic time scares me because I have tried to wrap my mind around how big it is, and I understand how much bigger it is than me. Yes, biology scares me, because it is so much more complex and intricate than any human being is yet able to comprehend, and its secrets live inside our bodies. Yes, uncanny everyday objects and experiences scare me, because I like to live with an openness to mystery.
And by “scares me” I don’t really mean fear, but an emotion kind of like the opposite of familiarity. I mean “fear” in the old-timey sense of “fear of God,” which is old-timey because I really think we’ve lost it. Where is the room for the sublime in this world? For numinous dread? For awe?
In August 2017 I, like many other people in the eastern U.S, watched a total solar eclipse occur, and I saw those same mocking and dismissive responses to the people that said that it filled them with fear. It wasn’t that scary. It’s just an eclipse.
It is assumed that it is always best to listen to the part of you that understands what is happening, but I also think there is value in listening to the part of you that doesn’t understand what is happening. I watched the eclipse with a handful of family friends and as the sky darkened everyone began to get nervous.
In today’s world we know that eclipses are natural events that do not foretell disaster or communicate the wrath of the gods, and I guess this means they are just another thing for us to gawk at and say “That was cool,” about. We are not only able to remind ourselves that this is normal and will not hurt us, we are obligated to, because fear is ignorance and ignorance is bad.
But we are made of more than the part that understands facts. We are also Creatures that are highly attuned to our own powerlessness, and sensitive to the unfamiliar and weird.
It shouldn’t get dark in the middle of the day. There is a hole where the sun should be, impossibly black. This should not be happening. We cannot stop it from happening. It is beautiful, the most beautiful thing any of us have ever seen, the threads of silver light around the eclipsed sun.
It is okay to come closer to the edge of what we don’t understand and can’t control, and it’s okay to understand something and still recognize that it’s full of mystery, and it’s okay to have responses to things other than “comfort” and “discomfort!” It’s…okay!

"Kids these days are poor because they don't want to work hard like we did" factoid untrue.
First of all "kids these days" somehow includes me, a 30-year-old mom, just b/c I was born in 1991, because the way we do generational distinctions is comically dumb. But anyways.
Everybody I know in my age group and younger is a massive workaholic. As for me, I do science at work and I've been scienceing in the same industry for almost a decade, and I'm a writer. For the past couple years I've completed one full-length novel's worth of words every six months or so. I have 2 books out that are doing pretty damn good by indie standards and I have a Pätreøn with really high reader engagement. Both of my 2 careers are going as well as can possibly be expected, to the great detriment of my mental & physical health. I still live paycheck to paycheck and have to beg for grocery money on the Internet every couple of months.
Listen, teens: This game is rigged. We're not broke because we aren't working hard enough, we're broke because we're being robbed.
The average USAmerican worker productivity has more than doubled since I was born in 1984 - think computerized record filing, email, cell phones, smartphones - but I’m not making twice what my parents made. Or working half as much. Or retiring twice as fast.
But all these millionaires done turned into billionaires.
Something is very, very wrong.

Chuck Berry
Rock n Roll was originally Black music.
thank you
Yes, him and little Richard never get their due smh
except…chuck berry didn’t invent rock n roll…
Sister Rosetta Tharpe predates both chuck berry and little richard by quite a few years
Two of Tharpe’s hit songs were released in like 1944-45 when Chuck Berry was a) incarcerated and b) still a high school student, Tharpe basically discovered Little Richard, and she’s referred to as the godmother of rock n roll
lol just
throwin that out there
^^^EXACTLY
but Sister Rosetta was a woman and queer… so Black men will totally overlook her.
rock music was created by a black bisexual woman
She influenced them all.
in bold!!!^^^^
Reblogging because Sister Rosetta Tharpe's name is plastered all over my history assignment on the origins of Rock n Roll
