Author's note: heheheh hi! * Gives small wave * well I know I have been awol for quite a while and I haven't really put up content in almost 7-9 months cuz ya girl is killing it in med school (not literally pls)

I had written the poem when oph b3 had ended but I never got around posting it since I was ✨ insecure ✨ (still am about my writing but whatever, the fandom is dead anyways)

I took part in @choicesseptemberchallenge and the theme is thunderstorm, which literally is a stroke of luck lmao

Hope you like it, I really tried to stick to the rhyming scheme but this is more abstract than that hehe

An overcast sky, a distinct chill

The kind that hits like cupid's arrows at your chest 

A sunless sky, a complete joy-kill

The kind that makes you wonder, will this storm be the vilest?

The attendant and the intern, a romance that isn't a run of the mill

The kind that makes your heart full and wishes them the very best

Honey eyes that have so much mirth, that can bring a world to a standstill

Gleaming sapphires with currents of emotion that seem to wrest 

The gentle breeze suddenly a powerful gale, causing a shrill

They huddle together, arms around each other, enjoying their own lovefest 

But good things don't last, it's what's there in god's will

"What have you decided?" he asked with hope and affection, though his voice was the lowest 

Silence prolonged, the words spoken were nil

Anxiety rose as his heart thundered like a stampede of wildebeest 

Eyes filled with tears threatened to spill 

"I am leaving Ethan... this is the end of our bequest"

And suddenly his life went downhill

Anger, sorrow, shock and pain flashed, neither emotion pausing to rest 

So many thoughts, but no words, he was stuck in a moment that was paradoxical 

"New beginnings" the word he experienced with her, he began to detest

As a sign, it immediately started to pour, masking the tears like a veil

His entire reality shattered, oh how wrong was he to think their love was the strongest 

He wanted to hurt her the way those words hurt him, but he couldn't get himself to will 

For love is a funny thing, its more painful to thyself than the one upon which you best 

A sad smile, that threatened to make him ill

"Get out there and change the world, Leah." she sucked a breath at his behest 

"Maybe one day, if there is a chance-" He stopped her before she could complete the rest 

"I will be here, waiting. Go attain the destiny, you were meant to fulfil." 

 A spark of hope in their eyes, oh! What a beautiful cruel test

You don’t have to hide. You are worthy of love as you are.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Pandora saunters into her office fifteen minutes late holding a to-go cup of espresso. To be fair, this is five minutes earlier than she usually arrives, so the day is off to an excellent start. Plenty of time to sip her drink and not do her paperwork before anyone comes to ask her something; Tina and Verda know she’s useless before 11am. 

She tosses her bag on the floor next to her chair. When she goes to set her espresso down on the desk, though, she spots something: A long-stemmed red rose laying on top of a note. 

“What do we have here?”

Pandora has a very active social life. This could be from any number of friends or maybe even a casual date. She is, after all, a highly sought after presence at any party; a catlike smile spreads across her face at the thought.

But the more she thinks about it, the less likely it seems.

She isn’t close enough with anyone, not in any meaningful sense, for someone to go out of their way and give her a gift. She keeps a large circle of acquaintances who find her charming and who she can rely on for a night out, but close friends? 

Her ego clashes with the familiar, persistent ache in her chest that she refuses to name. 

Although…

There is somebody else it could be from. Green eyes flash in her mind and—

Pandora snorts. “Yeah, when hell freezes over,” she mutters aloud. Yet a small ember of hope flares in her chest even as she tries to stamp it out.

Now overtaken with curiosity, she reaches for the note. 

She takes her time reading and re-reading it. 

Her eyes sting and she is suddenly grateful she hasn’t bothered to remove her sunglasses yet. Pushes them farther up her nose (and she considers the irony of this, wearing her oversized sunglasses indoors to hide the swell of emotion even as the note instructs her not to hide). 

A knock on her door shakes her out of her head.
