Bit of a serious meme for once

Saying they were going to make new content and doing a whole countdown clock got people excited and made them think maybe they were finally getting out of their slump. When they announced their paywall instead it kind of popped the seal on all of the criticism and unhappy feelings that people had been holding back for a while now. I think if the fans had been completely happy with what watcher was making, then the paywall would still have been annoying and frustrating, but more people would have been understanding about it or at least had a calmer reaction to it

Watching people eat expensive food isn’t something im interested in. It doesn’t … give me a thrill the way watching someone create does

If I could ask for ANYTHING involving worth it, it would be that it evolved into something an audience in 2024 could fall in love with. Idk from everyone’s reactions I don’t think eating expensive food in other countries is really… entertaining anymore. It just feels.. out of touch.

They are still rich. The comments and stuff they did were very insensitive, tone deaf, and outright cruel and not okay at all, and many people will never trust them again as they once did, many won't even ever watch again. Many people, while being able to accept the apology, will still want nothing to do with them after that, especially for us who genuinely are struggling in life with money. It was highly insulting and it makes you look at people differently after that.

Don’t get me wrong, they still burnt a lot of bridges with their audience + were definitely reading from prompt cards, (and there’s definitely an illusion of trust that has a nasty crack in the facade), but popping the bubble around their echo chamber and taking the weekend to understand why their fans felt hurt is a step in the right direction.

Anyway. Yeah there will be assholes in every fandom but acting like people getting upset was irrational is just silly. Like nobody's stopping you from paying them $6, hun. You can just go do that. Good for you on having money you can spend. Not all of us are that lucky.

They need to move their clip to the red

Only ghost files on it atm but Mystery Files and Puppet History are next. Watcher has back pedalled on deleteing all their free content to lock it behind a pay wall but y'know what? maybe I just dont want to give them ad revenue anymore, which is evil but screw them. Also they may still back pedal on their back pedalling, which is to many pedals anyways.
