I loved reading your stuff; your take is very interesting! I have a question what sort of scent or most typically Omega scents in your Omegverse. in mine it splits between Male ans female omegas. Male omega are usually more floary and very swet, flowers, fruit, honey, chocolate. Female Omega, zesty scent Lemon, grape fruit, limes and snappy scent like. fresh raspberry, red whine, blue berries and fennel.

As for your question, I find it really difficult to describe scent cause I usually headcanon it as something that doesn't exist in our world. It is like something singular and unique to the a/b/o universe. BUT if I had to put a scent to it I'd do the opposite. I'd have Omega females have a more sweet-like scent and males a more spunky scent, still sweet, but less so.
Flowers are a hard choice because some I think are more Beta-like and some more Omega-like. I find citrucy scents to be more Beta like also.
Do you have scent headcanons for Betas? Like what scents do Beta's usually have?

Well, I do know that in many Verses, Betas simply do not have scents. It’s understandable given their roles, at least in an individual’s own worldbuilding if they wish to go down a more... hierarchal path. However, in my opinion, that’s a little bit boring.
To answer your question, I think Beta scents are definitely not as pronounced as Omegas’ and Alphas’, but they’re still noticeable. They’re a lot more mellow and subtle. The sort of tones (sweet, bitter, earthy) depend on the individual, but broadly speaking in my AU, they’re reminiscent of nature.
Examples of potential Beta scents:
- Teas (chamomile, jasmine, mint, etc! Believe it or not, some teas are very aromatic!)
- Fresh herbs and plants, perhaps flowers depending on individuals
- Certain places/times (a sunny autumn day in the forest, a walk in an orange grove during the summer, a field of flowers in the spring, etc.)
You can also assign Beta characters Omega/Alpha-typical scents, but maybe indicate that they are toned down.

I hope I don’t sound like a broken record, but do remember that every A/B/O AU is unique and can differ from others! There’s no set rules for what you can and can’t do, and what you should or shouldn’t include.
I personally don’t like the concept of the Alpha voice, given that it’s a power that could be easily abused and that’s just not my thing at all, as I’ve explained briefly in a previous ask. However, if I were to include it in my Verse, it would be super cool and much better if there was a way to circumvent the command. Not sure how that would work biologically if the Alpha voice works like that, but psychologically speaking, I’m sure Omegas can develop ways to become more resistant to the Alpha voice.
It can also be that certain Omegas are more submissive than others or the other way around. Do remember, you can take this wherever you want, dear anon. The world is yours.

Oof just thinking about what exactly in a/b/o settings make me uncomfortable most of the time.
Most obvious thing is the fixation on sex. Like as an asexual, seeing a universe where sex is so prominent in society is just.... ugh. Next we got the fixation on labeling and having people conform to their biological sex and the gender roles that come with them. That's the thing that made me write this post, since I just realized that's such a big thing in most of these settings. Their always labeled like "oh he's an omega" "they're an alpha" and then they let their biological sex dictate how they're treated and what roles they take in the story. I just hate that so much. Also a big nitpick I always hold in the back of my mind- where the fuck are all the betas at???? It's a/B/o for gods sake, where's the third letter?? I sometimes feel like people who only write about alphas and omegas are just writing eroticized cis culture all over again.
In conclusion, I only respect a/b/o stories that defy the above points.

World Trade Organization members on Thursday delayed a decision on a proposal to waive intellectual property rules for COVID-19 drugs and vaccines amid ongoing opposition from wealthy countries, a Geneva trade official said.
“Big Pharma” has rejected an idea proposed by India and South Africa that would grant compulsory licensing of the vaccines and drugs by overriding patent rules of WTO’s Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property (TRIPS) agreement, allowing generic or other manufactures to make the new products.
The proposal has won support from some countries at the WTO but is opposed by Western countries, including Britain, Switzerland and the United States, which have strong domestic pharmaceutical industries.
Non-governmental organisations have been pressuring rich governments to ease rules temporarily as they did during the AIDS epidemic, arguing that they create barriers to access to affordable medicines and vaccines for vulnerable people around the world. This week, the WTO received a petition signed by more than 900,000 people asking it to “ensure access to life-saving COVID-19 vaccines, treatments and equipment for everyone in the world.”
‘Thursday’ in the above article refers to 10th December 2020. From Bloomberg on 17th December:
Back at the WTO, delegates have agreed to keep discussions open and were due to submit a report to the WTO’s General Council meeting on Dec. 16, highlighting the “current lack of consensus” on the issue, according to a statement from the organization.
The WTO has still not decided on this. They will continue the discussion in early 2021 (WTO tweet and website). The global petition referred to in the article is still taking signatures.
