Im not gonna lie, i cried a little. This comic basically sums up my artistic career: from my mom telling me that i cant make a living off it, to me feeling that i reached my limit. But now more that ever i will try!!

Isn’t it weird how you can actually feel the pain in your chest and stomach when something really hurts your feelings

This is actually because it activates your vagus nerve! Basically your body goes “we are so upset! We must be injured! Where???? On the inside guts! Those are confusing and hard to differentiate!!! Confusing guts are hurt!”

PSA if you’re medicated or are new to medication: do not stop medicating cold turkey without supervision from your psychiatrist or without letting them know you’d like to quit. these things need to be done gradually, doing it abruptly can fuck you up really, REALLY bad, long term. please please please don’t be reckless about your mental health.

don’t sleep on this post and spread it if you can because it’s a good way to send your brain into a frenzy.

ESPECIALLY if it’s helping you. You’re not “suddenly better now and don’t have to take it anymore” you’re feeling better because THE MEDICATION IS WORKING AND YOU STILL HAVE TO KEEP TAKING IT. You would not believe how many people hate medication so much that the MINUTE the effects start kicking in they make excuses to justify not having to continue. Yes, it might be expensive but if you can afford it without putting you out then do it even if you hate swallowing pills every day.

this should include all types of medication, I have pernicious anemia which means that my body is not able to produce iron like at all. Taking iron pills makes me feel a hell of a lot better but having to take rather large pills 3 times a day sucks and it’s very easy to get in the mindset of “I feel fine I just won't take them today”. This actually caused my anemia to get even worse, My point being don’t cold turkey any kind of medicine, even if you feel better.
