Chalk Cryptid

A couple weeks ago was St. Charles Pride and I once again had to draw an Optimus Pride. I actually drew the art for this beforehand instead of finding an art because I couldn't find a good pic of TFP Optimus. Once again it got way bigger than I intended, but I hope everyone had a great Pride.

Here's an art I did a bit ago of this art from @lintufriikki. I absolutely love this art, these characters, and lintufriikki's style. I also just love the ship name of WaveWave.

Unfortunately someone stepped on Deino’s face before I could take a pic xD Oh well.

Anime St Louis really came together to do a whole bunch of chalk art today. I love y’all and I hope to see you again next year.

For some reason when I draw transformers, they just get away from me in size. I moved a table to stand on it to get a good angle for the final picture. This Starscream is from @zeropro. I love their Transformers art and the way they draw this wonderful gremlin. I specifically referenced this piece here.

Aww, thanks! I really like the patio of Maeva’s because the concrete is a good texture for chalk and I can also get beverages and treats there. I try to get around town when the weather’s nice and chalk it up, so maybe you’ll see more of my art around.

Also, if there’s any character you’d like to see, feel free to ask. I can’t guarantee it’ll get done because my brain is full of bees (adhd), but I’m always looking for characters to draw.

Do it! There’s no time like the present to become the weird person that brings chalk to things. Our communities need more random art.

St. Charles Pride was today and I brought my chalk after getting to show my niblings around their first pride. It was hot and I only had, like, two hours, so I did another Optimus Pride. I couldn’t drive my car up to it this time so I did the best I could with the pictures because he once again got very large. Happy Pride everyone! Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.

I had a handful of kiddos join me and draw stuff too, which always rocks. Do art. Have fun. Be whimsical!

This weekend was Anime St Louis and I finally busted out the chalks again. It was a little sprinkly and I couldn’t do anything Saturday because I had to leave early to go to my niece’s birthday party to teach her and her friends how to paint. But here’s Sailor Moon (I just recently rewatched the series), and RotTMNT Michaelangelo. Enjoy, my chalk friends!

The little silver thing at the bottom of the full length picture is the window to my car, which I was standing on top of to get a decent shot of the whole thing, which, as you can see from the picture of my face next to his hand, is very large. I’d say he was at least 9 feet tall. I was sweating so much I was dripping and had to go bum napkins and paper towels from some of the vendors. I didn’t blend the colors like I usually do because I was getting so tired, but it turned out great.

Reposting cuz I posted to the wrong account. Oops. I did these a while ago at the farmers market and totally forgot to post them. I took a picture of toon Link at an angle because I thought it looked good that way. Also, I had an older woman be very confused and ask if it was Tinkerbell I was drawing.

I had a little girl tell me I was a very talented artist and the dad told me if his 3-year-old said it it’s true because she never lies. Then her 5-ish-year-old sister piped up and was like “daddy, she lies all the time about picking her nose and eating her boogers!” So I might be a hack all because of booger lies.
