Cloud dreams

My measure of success is not the comparison of oneself to another, wealth, or appearance; it is an evaluation of one's dreams, how close you are to achieving them, and most of all, how happy you currently are with yourself. With that... I am not successful; My dreams transcend all which have come and gone before my time and always will. Whether you perceive them as achievable or not, is not up to you for we neither share the same existence nor understand the universe similarly. I have not one ultimate goal in life, but multiple. For some I am close enough to tasting them that my heart skips a few beats when I think of the inner joy they will give me. For others, the ones which I hold so dear to me, are so far off that they make me more determined to gain an inch closer; yet I remain depressed because I realise, time will not wait for me to do so. Each year I fall into what eventually identifies itself as a delusion. I would believe that this year is "the" year and all my hopes and desires will form before me, but as it draws nearer to the end, I fall victim to a cruel reality. I am left unhappy, for what I thought in the beginning, is not what is in the end. But I have never been one who lacks belief in himself. For I know my capabilities, and I understand enough the labour required to make great use of them. My dreams keep me alive, and until they come to pass, I will never be content with myself. Until then, I am a failure. Until I have achieved what I believe God has placed me on the Earth to, I am without success.
