I don’t think I ever thought of that as being weird, even after I had experienced sexual trauma at the hands of someone in the family, because I don’t think of my family sexually. Like? When we got to being closer to teenagers and were becoming more sexually aware, then it was more “boys shouldn’t be sleeping with girls” because kids do experiment and there was no reason to open that door in that way.

Even now, I don’t find it awkward to be in other peoples rooms as a communal space. My housemate and I would hang out in her room and we would be on her bed but between the two of us it wasn’t awkward, her white boyfriend however didn’t like it because he knew I was bi and assumed I was only around her to try to have sex with her. My boyfriend, also knowing I’m bi, never thought twice about it. And all three of us are brown.

White people really truly are obsessed with the idea that everyone must be sexualized all the time. People of color can engage in that, but I see far more white babies that brown babies in “I’m a ladies man” and “stud muffin”, or parents saying their toddlers have boyfriends/girlfriends because they kissed or encouraging that kind of behavior at extremely young ages.

1. reigen was 28 when we were given his age. his birthday is 10/10. at the beginning of the series, which we can assume was sometime near the end of the summer, he was 27. mob had been his apprentice for four years at that point. so reigen would have been around 23 when he met mob. mob also would have been around 10, which checks out.

2. reigen worked as a salaryman (aka a businessman) for a brief time before starting spirits and such. salarymen are required to have a four-year bachelors degree in business. so reigen would have been around 22 when he graduated university and gotten his salaryman job.

like, i do not mention to people that i am trans, almost never. i go to great lengths to avoid mentioning it. i’m not ashamed of being trans, it’s just not a relevant information to share. i don’t talk about trans issues irl. i live with people who do not know i am trans, i fuck people who do not know i am trans, i have deep friendships with people who do not know i am trans.

for a lot of people, being stealth is not a possibility ; however, in all cases, it also comes with a great level of danger. in many cases, the more you look like a cis person, the more violent people get when they find out you’re trans. it is a very lonely experience in many ways, most of all because being stealth means you can’t connect with other stealth trans people, since you’re never gonna mention it to each other. cis people can absolutley not wrap their head around the fact that people like you can exist, and say a lot of fucked up stuff in your presence.
