This entire past month or so has been a dumpster fire. In health news, I got another brain MRI this time focusing on my brain stem and inner ear rather than a top-down scan. This time something -completely unexpected- happened and instead of confirming or denying a condition I thought I had, it was discovered that I've got Chiari type1. I was already possibly on board for brain surgery to assess the tremors, but that was a very simple procedure that didn't even necessitate more than two tiny holes. If I end up needing surgery for this, its another Ordeal like my rib surgery. I think I mentioned my Glaucoma "suspect" diagnosis back in the fall, well Stickler threw me another softball to the face and despite for years thinking I dodged the hearing loss symptoms, nope, I have early hearing loss and tinnitus. Likewise, my SSI application is taking longer to get a response than before, which is frustrating but also makes me feel like an actual human is looking at the case. At least that's what I tell myself to avoid panicking that it has to do with The Current Administration's agency cuts. Oh and my insurance is being an absolute fucking DIVA about getting me ADHD meds so that's fun. As for housing, I just got yet another 30 days notice to pay rent or be served eviction. I have no income because of the whole fight for disability, so everything is paid through a -finite and not high value- (I hate that I have to clarify that) irrevocable Trust I do not have direct access to. I go through a CFA, who goes through the brokerage. My rent checks are mailed on a schedule from the brokerage, via snail mail. Well, for the second time, the check was stuck in pending and nobody noticed until I already incurred a 40$ late fee. The check was overnighted to arrive on the 8th, and its now the 12th and the credit is STILL not in my account. If its still not there by Monday, I'm going to (try to) hit up the leasing office in person. Once that's off my plate I'm going to talk to the CFA and see fi its even possible to set up direct deposit so we don't have to Suffer The Perils of the Postal Service. The XIV stuff is a lot so I think I'll make a second post since Tumblr -does- have text limits. Basic rundown is grieving-while-conflicted (something I'm certainly not new to), making the decision to get away from the things which drain me, and people who apparently live and breathe drama so much they cannot for the life of them just block me and be done with it.
