Dandy Dead By Daylight concept design

notes: I don’t think Dandy would actively try to hurt the survivors but would be forced to. The Entity forces him into a state of nearly twisting so he’d comply but not be fully twisted (I don’t believe Dandy is fully there when twisted, he acts like a cat).

I think his mori would either be: ripping the survivors apart with film reel, or ripping film reel out of the survivor. I chose film reel because of the film reel on his arm.

Machine Types(left to right): Trivia, Power Boxes, toy things, password thingamajigs, oven, digging pit, weight machines

Trivia machines needs you to answer questions for completion, Power Boxes need you to rewire them (like Among Us), toy-like machines like those bead mazes and wooden route toys, for password machines you need to search for a passcode for, oven machines need you to collect ingredients and bake something, digging machines that need you to dig for the machine valve to complete it, and weight machines where you need to stack boxes on its weight measured thing to pump Ichor into it

Dandy’s World AU/ retake where its stylized like an edutainment game like Pajamma Sam

Boxten Skin redesigns

some Vee art, I’d imagine her being more robot than toon. She’s powered and conscious through ichor similar to my au / retake’s version of Dyle, in fact my au / retake of Dyle uses the scrapped V2 model as a vessel.

Twisted Vee stays the same but Origin Twisted Vee (or Origin Vee) is strung up by wires.

My AU’s origin Twisteds are basically Twisteds that appear as boss floors (think like Dolly’s Factory). Origin Vee is hoisted up by cables (they’re drawn from the back but I’d redraw them coming from her head), her left arm is formed into a sawblade for when she grabs toons. Toons grabbed by her are forced to answer a trivia question or be sawed. The second Vee head is Vee Version 2’s ripped off head (Dyle when obtaining the body ripped off Vee V2’s head).

I’ve been thinking of switching Poppy’s and Shrimpo’s role, I feel like Shrimpo could be used more in supporting other toons while Poppy was already the designation survivalist. uhh quick role reversal idea: Poppy’s active stays the same but removes the extra support of placing cans of pop and it gets faster with the more pop Poppy has on her and her passive prevents her stamina from draining for 6 seconds after using a pop item. Shrimpo’s abilities stay the same since they could be used as support.

Melody is the little ballerina figure thing that Boxten would have in his head, like a real music box, she’s alive like Barnaby

Origin Vee: she’s become a super-computer, she’s able to mass survey the floor. She keeps her previous mechanics but strengthen them (Pop-ups now move, toons is heavily slowed after getting a question). Her added ability is that cameras spawn around her floor which give toon’s trivia questions when passed by, answering wrong or not answering will damage that toon. When a toon is around Origin Vee they must stay still or she will sense their movement (Origin Vee is mostly blind as she’s only able to detect when someone is passing by a camera, she’s become one with Gardenview’s technology.)

Origin Astro: he’s practically become a pillar, he can’t move instead being the centerpiece of his floor. He keeps his previous mechanics but strengthens them ( he can spawns rings of his magic that quickly drain stamina, when a machine is failed he’ll instantly take a chunk of the ichor and if the toon can’t get off before he does they’ll take damage). His added mechanic is that he produces of a cloudy fog imbued his her magic. After passing through the fog it causes hallucinations of which will be of: machine sounds, fake toon death sounds, Twisted Dandy’s music, Twisted Astro’s footsteps, fake twisted chase sound, fake toon damage sound, fake Twisteds, fake machines, Origin Astro’s ripped-off face plate, and a wavy screen effect (can be toggled off for motion sensitive players.) after the hallucination affect ends the toon cannot regenerate stamina for 10 seconds. It also disrupts any normal sound like actual Twisteds spotting you.

Origin Sprout: he’s more passive twisted until the other Twisteds spot a toon, he might seem intimating but as long as you stay out of his or his friends’ way he’ll leave you alone. He keeps his previous mechanic but strengthens it ( he’s slow but is constantly surrounded by his ichor tendrils, when he’s near he’ll spawn his tendrils around him when nearby). His added mechanic is that when he spots a toon while another twisted isn’t chasing a toon he’ll slam his hand on that toon, after a toon recovers they won’t be able to be heal or use their items for 15 seconds (they gain a status effect named Headache).

Origin Shelly: she’s completely lost any sense of morality or self and has become nothing but a ferocious beast. She keeps her previous mechanics but strengthens them ( her confusion effect gets stronger the closer she is which becomes apparent when she slowly walks to toons on machines, she’s still fast and can lunge large distances randomly and quickly. Her added mechanic is that she spawns sandpits all over her floor, these sandpits act has hiding spots for her and other Twisteds. Stepping through the sandpits fully covers your screen in sand for a bit and you can only walk through them. (you can tell when my designs got sloppy srry)

Origin Pebble: he’s still loyal to his owner even after so long. He keeps his previous mechanics but strengthens them (his speed and eyesight are enhanced, he shakes the screen when running towards a toon and decreases his target’s stealth when spotted.) His new mechanic is that he can disguise himself as the real Pebble or as an average rock, the ichor has split pebble into many Pebbles. These fake Pebbles can bark when nearby to alert Twisteds, burst into ichor puddles, bite and do damage, or be the actual Origin Pebble in disguise. Your main way of escaping him is using designated hiding spots around the maps, of which would be few are far between.

Origin Twisteds are stronger version of the normal Twisted counterpart. Each are contained to one floor.

My retake au redesigns the toons while keeping the original designs in the cartoon, posters, and merch.

The toons gain exclusive redesigns for Gardenview like Mickey gets a suit for Disney Parks. The Origin Twisteds take the appearance of the Gardenview Toons while the normal Twisteds take on their normal appearance. [Current toons are also copies but made by Dandy so they keep their Gardenview outfits]

The normal Twisteds are copies made by Gardenview [Retake info: Gardenview is alive, the trees is its heart. The copies are based off the surrounding posters, cartoon, merch, theming, and the like.]

[each main gets their own special Dyle-like Origin Floor, kinda like Dolly’s Factory or the holiday floors. Holiday floors are added to the normal floor rollout but have higher chances of appearing. This retake au would presumably have faster game progression to ensure most players could see all floors, after Origin Twisted Pebble the floors would have to repeat.] Origin Twisted Astro’s appears on floor 5

I’d imagine them being more organic when Delilah made them but once they’re remade (HC that Dandy revived the toons after the malfunction incident) they are mostly made up of ichor explaining why when they did they only explode and don’t leave any organs behind
