It'd be whack if Dandys desperate clinging to memories is feeding toons to twisteds, forming a big ol recycling loop. Like if they keep going as normal, memory twisteds will remain and toons just keep going in a meat grinder. if they stop the ichor operation, let memory twisteds fade, it might activate a hard mode for a while before becoming managable as the twisteds struggle but eventually go inert. Like... i think with preparation ending the loop is possible, it might already be possible with a stockpile gathered over years, just the Lethal Twisteds are likely scared to take the risk of an attempt, break routine and let go of the memories that are literally tearing everyone apart. To let even one Memory Twisted go... to remove it from the board would change things. Maybe there's a fear it may do something to the toon where they won't come back either or they'll be permanently changed somehow. Maybe they'll be freed in a way lethal twisteds can't be, since lethal twisting is internal.

I would say that stopping the ichor operation cannot stop twisteds from appearing because the idea with memory twisting means dead toon puddles become those toons guaranteed, however spilled ichor from injuries likely can become other toons in the memory of the toon injrued as well. In fact, I think that the first twisteds were from wounds of Dandy that came to life.

Also, ichor puddles riddle the facility, I have to imagine a toon has gotten injuries near them. If their ichor still rests in that puddle, that would likely create more twisteds all on their own

Still, an interesting idea about the lethal twisteds being unable to break routine. An idea I did have with lethal twisteds was the fact they helped with regulating twisteds and toon bodies because they're the only ones who have cannibalistic tendencies.

though, I would love to explore an idea like this... hmm..
