The cheery ball staring up at the three begins excitedly greeting them, before being hurriedly interrupted.
"Pshhsshshushh-Oh, hi! TOodles-"
The unflattering, unsure cracking squeak from Boxten did nothing to quell the unstoppable force of an excited child seeing something new.
"That's a person, that's cool! Do they have a name?"
They can barely get a word in.
"It's been a REALLY long time and I'm kinda confused. How'd they - actually, should investigate that later. C'mere, I KNOW one of you borrowed Spot and if he got hurt again, I'm gonna go have to ask...."
Toodles, as she now knows, began to walk off, with the three now all but forced to follow behind. There's a ridiculous chance of her running off and telling anyone who's willing to listen that there's a whole human in the complex, and there's hardly anywhere to hide.
"Buzzy, okay, uhm.." Boxten starts, in a low voice, nearly drowned out by the rambling eight-ball,
"just.. just try... kinda stay behind any cover you can find, okay? Maybe... maybe, no..
"Yeah, uh, I think that's not really a thing anymore. Ughhh, we're gonna have to explain all this, and nobody's gonna shut up about it.
Even with how loud Poppy had complained there, Toodles didn't seem to notice.
It felt like others did, though.
There's nothing worse than feeling watched while in a place as empty-feeling as this.
Even with the incessant chatter - maybe with the two others chiming in to keep her from saying anything too incriminating - the aimless walk of shame through surprisingly tidy hallways gave Buzzy a little moment to think again.
That's Toodles, from the show, particularly from Lights-Out Investigation. These two, Poppy & Boxten, are from a good few promotional pieces and episodes. The performer versions, the ones which were available for meet & greets. The ones that were the subject of many, many debates, centering around one, big question. Puppets? Hired performers? Animatronics?
What the hell even were they?
