Rachel and Emily hit the road this weekend for Asheville, NC. Emily tagged along for the trip, that brought Rachel up to town for her longtime client Katherine's wedding. Here's a look at their last weekend away before Ceremony opens it's doors next week!

Friday:

The ladies of left Chapel Hill bright and early Friday morning to arrive in time for Rachel to style Kat for her Persian wedding and Rehearsal Dinner at the Biltmore Estate. Rachel blew out Kat's long, thick hair and set it before styling it into a soft, side swept style. 

After the first day of styling was done, Emily and Rachel went downtown to explore Asheville and grab drinks and dinner. 

On the way to find tapas and some much needed wine, Rachel had to get a picture of a wig shop window display on the corner of Haywood Street. 

Emily snapped a pic of her pomegranate cosmopolitan before quickly drinking that while sharing several tapas at Zambra on Walnut Street. 

While they ate, Rachel's husband Jay sent her a picture of the Ceremony site. Though it's still in progress, Jay's been hard at work on our stations and we couldn't be more stoked about them. 

Saturday:

Saturday was Katherine's big day! Rachel returned to Biltmore to style Kat, her five bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and Kat's soon to be mother in law. And, as always, her tool kit was well stocked with R+Co products! 

Rachel wasn't exaggerating when she said Kat's bouquets were "AMAZE."

Rachel on Saturday's Work:

"I've been doing Kat's hair for years and today I had the pleasure of the giving her the most important hairdo of her life!

After all the hair was in place and tools se own, this was her view. We hairdressers are lucky people!

While Rachel was working at the wedding location, Emily spent her day back at the hotel working on prepping our system and stock for opening week. She took some time to play with her new long, emerald green shag that Rachel gave her the week before. 

Emily captured that evenings 'do in a quick selfie before dinner downtown at Salsa's where she and Rachel talked about plans for the salon over nachos, margaritas, and mojitos. 

After dinner they walked around downtown Asheville and grabbed another glass of wine before heading home to the hotel for more emails, online shopping, and frenzied planning.

Sunday:

Unfortunately, all fun trips must come to an end and at 8 am Sunday morning they set out on 40 for Chapel Hill. Upon arriving home it was back to business for the Ceremony crew, finishing projects for the site and getting our inventory in order. Emily's been working with R+Co all weekend to make sure we're ready to go in only 7 DAYS!

Rachel and Em are in Asheville for another wedding and took tonight to explore downtown, where they found this rad wig shop.

"Opening a salon is a bitch, luckily so are we."

Ceremony travelled to Farrington to get Jessica and her bridal party ready for Sunday afternoon's wedding. Here's a look behind the scenes as Erica and Rachel got the ladies styles and set for the big day!

To take Ceremony on the road, Rachel and Erica assembled tool kits that featured some of our favorite products. It wouldn't be Ceremony if R+Co weren't there as well, with Outer Space Flexible Hairspray and Chiffon Styling Mousse taking center stage on location. Stylists also used Mason Pearson brushes and Delorme Bungees to achieve the perfect bridal day do.

Erica is known as a "big hair wizard" at Ceremony- if you want big hair, Erica is the one to go to. She proved that she earned the name this Sunday!

Rachel started our bride Jessica's style with a blow dry set. To achieve a great up-do, you need to start with a great base!

Jessica's final style was made complete with her birdcage veil, handcrafted by Ceremony's own Rachel Radford for her line of custom hair adornments, Edtih's Head.  

Yesterday Salon Coordinator Emily's hair was cut into a long shag inspired by Lady GaGa's cover for PORTER magazine's Summer 2014 issue. Cut by Ceremony Owner Rachel Radford and styled using R+Co products, including Park Ave Blow Out Balm and Outer Space Flexible Hairspray. Available at #CeremonySalon this spring.
