The world's oldest story? Astronomers say global myths about 'seven sisters' stars may reach back 100,000 years https://phys.org/news/2020-12-world-oldest-story-astronomers-global.html
In the northern sky in December is a beautiful cluster of stars known as the Pleiades, or the "seven sisters." Look carefully and you will p
Holy shit, this is cool!
So many cultures call the Pleiades some variation of the "seven sisters" despite only having six visible stars. There only appear to be six because two of the stars are so close together as to appear as one.
The myths also mention one sister leaving or hiding to explain why there's only six. And based off observations and measurements, those two that are so close together used to be visibly separate. One literally has moved to hide.
And based off the similarities between the more commonly known Greek myth and the Aboriginal Australian myth, plus some other stuff, this myth could possibly even date back to when humanity still all resided in Africa!

SIGIL ~ INNER PEACE
Here is a sigil I did for the Artbook~ Itâs a sigil to achieve inner peace and tranquility. Enjoy and use it as you want âĽ
Just donât repost!
Witches Morning Routine
Ideas for a cozy witchy morning! Perfect for secretive witches â¨
Open your windows/curtains and say goodmorning to the sun or admire it and the earth
Write down any dreams you had if you wish to interpret them
Hold any of your crystals, tarot cards, etc to make them feel loved and to get any wonderful energy
If you have a safe space you may pull a tarot card or meditate
Close your eyes in front of a bookshelf, grab a book and open to a random page. Without looking, slide your finger to any spot on the page and read the sentence. Ponder the sentence and apply it to yourself (simple method of divination)
Read your horoscope for the day (there is plenty of apps and websites)
Water any plants or feed any animals in the house and give them some love
Go for a walk if time allows, clear your mind and breathe in fresh, clean energy to uplift you
Light a candle, using any colour/scent that will suit your day
If you drink coffee, add a dash of cinnamon to it or the grinds
If you drink tea, stir it clockwise to promote or counter clockwise to banish
Make breakfast and add special spices to it for certain things
Worship/leave an offering to a deity or perhaps earth itself
If you wear makeup, draw sigils with the foundation or wear a certain colour of lipstick/eyeshadow for its properties
Remind yourself that you are beautiful, and a badass witch â¤ď¸
** I always accept spell requests **
I was doing a reading for a young acquaintance learning about witchcraft and divination - a part of it was identifying the problems she may face. And you know what my asshole cards said? The World. And I mean, in 2020, it's not wrong. She just graduated high school this year and was searching for her path. But still. Way to just lay it out there. Big problems.
I am happy to present my own Wamilyâs version of finding your signifier card using a Tarot deck.  (Wamily, just in case you donât know, is a witch family.) Â
Please keep in mind that this is a practice passed down and developed by a handful of witches related to me, and isnât the process that every cartomancer uses. Â I hope this helps you on your witchcraft journey!
My own signifier card was found when I was a wee little witch. Â I chose the Chariot (which, if you know me personally, is Salt through and through.) Â My strengths and limitations are very much found in this card and I am drawn to its imagery indefinitely. Â
Comment with your signifier card once you find it! Â I am excited to see what you receive.
I got the Ace of Pentacles - I'm pretty flattered
Tea Magic:
Potions and mixtures can be a large part of a person'sâ magic craft. However, potions can be also complicated and take a lot of energy to do. There are other ways to perform potions without having to find countless ingredients or follow complex rules. My favourite way to incorporate potions into my magic practise is to make tea! Iâm British so I have grown up drinking tea regularly since I was about two. Tea and herbal infusions can be made from any combination of plants, spices and herbs. Please remember to be careful if you are collecting your own plants and herbs, as it is very easy to pick non-edible plants by mistake. To avoid this, you can use tea infusions from shops, or use fresh herbs bought from shops.
Whilst tea has wonderful metaphysical properties and associations, there is also scientific evidence to suggest that tea can be very beneficial to our physical health. As I am not a nutritionist, I wonât talk about these physical benefits here, but it is something to bear in mind when choosing which teas will suit you. Similarly, herbal infusions also contain the physical beneficial properties of the respective herbs, fruits or spices that they contain.
Please be careful about consuming certain teas if you have health problems. Black and green tea both contain fairly high amounts of caffeine which can raise your heart rate and blood pressure. Substitute for decaf or white tea. They also contain tanins which affect the absorption of iron and other vitamins and minerals. So leave time between taking your supplements and drinking tea. Some herbal teas are made with herbs which can interact with medications, such as valerian which interacts with sedatives. If you are concerned about any of these things, speak to your health care professional.Â
Types of tea:
âŚand their magical connotations
Black tea: Black tea is made from the oxidised leaves of the tea plant, giving it a black colour and rich flavour. Black tea includes tea types such as assam and darjeeling. It is associated with the earth element and winter, and so can be used to represent both of these things in spells and potions. From these two associations, black tea can also represent strength, stability and banishment. It is a good addition to dark and new moon magic.
Green tea: Green tea is made from the unoxidised leaves of the tea plant. Green tea is a popular way to drink tea, and often comes mixed with other plants and herbs. Green tea is associated with the fire element and summer. As such, its other associations include passion, healing, sexuality, love, productivity and cleansing.
Oolong tea: Oolong tea is a type of black tea, made from oxidised tea leaves which have been semi-fermented. It is a traditional Chinese tea. It is associated with the water element and the autumn season. Itâs secondary associations include reflection, meditation, intellect and serenity.
White tea: White tea is made from the white blossoms of the tea plant and as such it has a delicate and fragrant taste. It is associated with the air element and spring. It also represents happiness, the moon, purification, protection, clarity and new beginnings. Â
Herbal teas: herbal teas have the physical benefits and magical associations of the herbs, plants, fruits and/or spices that they have been made with. I will include a few below, but check out other associations too!
Chamomile tea: soothing, relaxing, a mood booster (good for period pain)
Mint tea: cleansing, purifying, refreshing (good for digestion)
Lemon tea: energising, motivating, optimism
Ginger tea: warming, protecting, contentment, soothing (good for sore throats)
Cinnamon tea: warming, boosts confidence, increases power and strength
Rose tea: love, friendship, family, self-love, relaxing
Lavender tea: relaxing, soothing, calming
Valerian tea: a mild sedative, and relaxant, good for bedtime (donât use if taking sedatives or anti-depressants)
Using teas in a magical way can also be extended to other types of drinks. For instance, warm drinks such as coffee and hot chocolate, or cool drinks such as smoothies, or infused waters.

Master Compendium of all Cross-Seals from Viridarium Umbris: The Pleasure Garden of Shadow
âby Daniel A. Schulke
Part 1/2
âI want a bath spell but Iâm a shower person!!â Workaround
Listen. I miss baths too. But we have places to be and are in tiny apartments and we donât have time to be soaking in a pool of herbs and then immediately scrubbing the leaves out of the tub.
You will need:
A pot
Your herbs (food/cosmetic grade)
Liquid Castille soap (unscented Dr. Bronnerâs, okay?)
Empty squeeze bottle (Iâve even used one of those $2 condiment bottles from wegmans)
Quartz, if youâre one of those âI have to charge it!â witches
Boil them herbs. Boil âem âtil theyâre soft and colorless. Get all that power out of them. Strain the water clear of plant material and set aside.
Wait for it to cool to a temperature that wonât warp or melt your plastic bottle and then fill said bottle about two thirds way. Drop that quartz in there now if youâre going to do that.
Remove quartz before you pour in the Castille soap. But thatâs what youâre doing; dumping in Castille soap the rest of the way. Itâs meant to be diluted and weâre taking advantage of the high concentration of soap.
Gently mix.
In the shower, squeeze onto a wash cloth and lather as much as you want in your hair and all over your body.
Bam. Can be adapted to almost any bath spell and doesnât result in a moldy sachet or leaves in the drain.
-Blessings! â¨
