that last post was a joke but now it’s got me genuinely wondering if there’s bias against people who survived their saw traps in-universe. are they pitied? or do people look at them and wonder what they were trapped for? if they keep it hidden, do people assume the worst? and if they don’t, and it is something bad, do people see what jigsaw’s done as a fitting punishment, or are they isolated further because they survived, and get to go on living after what they did?

i’d love to see a movie about a character whose life did get worse after they survived their trap, not because of trauma, but because suddenly everyone in their life knows about the worst thing they ever did and believes that they weren’t punished enough

i’m also thinking that the media probably doesn’t cover saw traps for lesser crimes as much. what’s gonna get more engagement, a trap for a depressed person or a trap for a rapist? in this hypothetical movie I bet the news cycle does a lot to impact the public’s general perception of trap survivors.

i think its a lil sad how often people will like restrain themselves from exploring new identities and hobbies because they don't want it to be an "embarrassing phase" because honestly i think its way cooler to have a diverse and varied lifestyle that you can look back on and say "omg i used to love doing that!" and apply those skills and interests to something else.

"cozy bookstore" "cozy cafe with a bookshelf" "omg imagine if there was a place you could just sit and read at" we have this its called the library. you guys want to go to the library. the two college libraries near me have cafes inside and they are open to the public. people need to go to the library

My woke take, as someone who has worked in both a public library and a school library, is that we desperately need both more books that are at a higher reading level but a less mature subject matter, and more books that are at a lower reading level but a more mature subject matter, because 8 year olds who are advanced readers are still 8 year olds and don't want to read about graphic violence and torture, and teens and adults who have learning difficulties or who are just later readers for whatever reason are still teens and adults and don't want to read about Billy the Bunny going to school or whatever the hell.

Shoutout to people in the notes also mentioning people learning the language, I should've mentioned that really, given that I've been stuck reading German picture books myself while learning German.

I think cis women should be allowed to get top surgery even if its not for a medical reason like breast reduction or cancer. I think they should be able to get it even if they're completely cisgender. Some women are just sick of dealing with them and would be much much happier never needing to wear a bra again

Hey so something I didn't know until I was diagnosed with an energy limiting disease (in my case mitochondrial disease) is that fatigue can HURT. I thought something else was causing the pain for literally like 6 years, but it was fatigue. I never got the "my body feels like its made of lead" feeling, I get pain and I feel more people should know that's a possibility for their own sake, you know? If I didn't know you can be so tired it hurts while literally having an energy limiting disease that will kill me someday, there's probably other people out there like "where is this mysterious full body pain coming from??"

It pisses me off when people only count people killed outside of concentration camps for ice kill counts. No ice hasn't just killed 4 people this year. People have been dying in concentration camps and no one's said anything about it. They should count too. We should remember them too. They're victims just like everyone else.
