“Maybe they’ll grow back stronger and taller,” She let out a small laugh then narrowed her eyes at him. “That stays between me and you.” Celeste looked up at him and smiled, “That sounds very nice and relaxing, I’m happy you had a good time. Your father wouldn’t kill you for taking me there?”

Some of them already get you halfway there.” He let out a small chuckle, but was cut off when she hugged him, “Oh come on, enough with all the sappy shit…whatever, you’re welcome.” He paused, before giving her a small squeeze in return.

“I’d definitely be at a greater risk for breaking my ankles though, so, I don’t know if it’s really worth it.” Celeste squeezed him harder as she smiled to herself. “You have to know Nik isn’t the only sappy one in this group by now.” She unwrapped her arms from around him, “So, how was your trip? You have to actually tell me about it.”

“That makes my depression very happy,” he mused. Nikolai laughed, “Stop being so hard on yourself, Celeste,” he said. “You looked like a normal person…just a normal person who likes black.”

“Oh, wait, nevermind maybe you shouldn’t get those.” She half joked then moved to tap his shoulder. “I looked like a creepy goth kid, Nik. You should be as hard on me as I am on myself.”

“Not exactly true, we just share all our mysteries, so no one else knows them but us.” He flashed a smile at her, letting out a short laugh, “Still wouldn’t be as tall as me, ma pupuce.” He teased, then shrugging in response to her senimental tone, “Don’t make a big deal alright? I was getting some for myself anyways.” Even though it wasn’t exactly true, he did pick up more cigarettes for himself, but the silver case was new, and instead of the engraving showing his initials, it had hers.

“There you go outsmarting me again, we are just a group of little mysteries.” She rolled her eyes at him, “Yeah, yeah I know. I’d be way closer at least.” Celeste looked up at him, definitely on the verge of tears, then wrapped her arms around him tightly. “I’m not making a big deal out of it at all, obviously. But really, thank you.”

“Wait–is that why you have black curtains in your room?” He laughed at her reaction, “Okay, but to be fair, we all looked like monsters. Those trips to Hogsmeade were a mess,” he mused with a grin.

“Yeah, they’re also light blocking, you should invest in some.” Celeste moved to pinch the bridge of her nose. “No, not all of us, you looked like a normal person. You are right about the Hogsmeade trips though, they were fun but very messy.”

Kennedy laughed, “Oh, darling, he really got you good, didn’t he?” she mused. “I was wondering why Lestrange would accept a half-blood into the army, but you’re so wrapped around his finger, you can’t even see straight.”

Celeste raised an eyebrow, “I wasn’t ‘got’ this was my own decision.” She took a step closer to her and narrowed her eyes. “You know what? I don’t have to explain anything to you, Rosier. Especially if all you’re going to do is just spout nonsense, I know you’re not actually going to do anything.”

“only sunshine and honestly, i can do without that - except if i’m on a beach, which doesn’t happen very often.”

“I could definitely do without that, I think in my fifth year I saw the sun maybe a handful of times.” She said with a shrug, “Not here it’s not happening.”

“Well can’t go on and say one hundred percent, wheres that leave all the mystery?” He mused, chuckling lightly, “Oh I wish, it would be fun if we did sell those, maybe I’ll tell Burke to keep an eye out for one.” He paused, before pulling a silver cigarette case from his pocket and tossing it to Celeste. “Don’t say I never got you anything. Hand-rolled, picked them up while i was in France.”

“I’ve known you forever, we can’t have anymore mysteries.” She said with a smile. “I’m sure he’ll find one in, like, a day or two then we can get me up to the height I was destined to be...6′3.” Celeste caught the case when Alpheus tossed it to her then felt her mouth drop open. “You really got these for me?”

“Oh, no, darling,” she said, crossing her arms over her chest. “It’s makes you very edgy. Which is I guess why our fearless leader likes you so much.”

Celeste raised her eyebrows, “You said it not me.” She said simply then shrugged her shoulders. “Maybe if you made an effort, he’d like you too but then again you’d still have an awful personality. So, who knows.”

“Is it?” he questioned before letting out a laugh. “I fully acknowledge and accept that I’m weird. I don’t know why I’m questioning you, I remember how much black you wore in Hogwarts.”

“Yes! It’s cooler temperature wise and it’s so easy to just drift off to sleep which all leads to relaxation.” She quickly moved to cover her face with her hands. “Please don’t bring that up, I looked like a monster.”

“Why, are you a vampire?” Julien asked, squinting his eyes suspiciously.

“I mean, I haven’t had a craving for human blood in quite a while.” Celeste hummed in thought, “Let’s say I’m a vampire in recovery.”

“And people say I’m a vampire.” He scoffed playfully, “No, I think you just got shorter, lets put you on one of those medieval stretching racks, see if that adds a couple centimeters.”

“Are we one hundred percent sure that you’re not?” She asked before letting out a loud laugh, “I wouldn’t be surprised if you sold those at your creepy store.”
