1. I learned that you begin to love yourself when the person who was supposed to love you, breaks you. 2. It’s okay to miss those that broke you, but do not go back. 3. Flirt. Go on dates. But don’t settle. Find exactly what you want or continue to be single. 4. Spend time with friends, especially those that you have in high school. When you go to college, you’ll regret not making memories with them. 5. Listen to music that makes you want to get up and dance, even if all you want to do is fall apart. 6. Form a stronger bond with your family. They are going to be the ones who will always be there for you. 7. Focus on school. Even if it’s bringing you down or stressing you out, it’s worth it in the end. 8. But also make time for you and for some fun. Balance is key. 9. It’s okay to be alone. Sometimes you’re luckier that way, so you can’t hurt anyone and they can’t hurt you. 10. Understand that everything happens for a reason. To help you grow and mature as a person, you need to go through the good and bad. It’ll be okay. It’s time for a new year with new problems, people, and lessons. You’ve got this.
