Heart sits next to Soul one day in early Concord and just randomly spouts “thank you. For everything” and Soul is confused but Heart keeps going. “For always believing in me, us, for loving me even when I’m bad.” I think Soul would kinda nervously laugh it off and say “of course” but Heart takes his hand in his own and practically crushes it with sincerity. Talking about how sorry he’s been for being so selfish, how much he loves and appreciates Soul, how this whole time he’s been ignoring his feelings for his own. I think Heart is very emotionally intelligent, and now that he’s in a better headspace is able to articulate these thoughts and recognize what he’s been doing.

The reality of it all hits Soul like a truck because he’s been waiting for this moment forever and he’s never felt more vindicated in his life. He pulls Heart into a hug on the verge of tears, so incredibly thankful that everything worked out in the end. All of his sacrifices are finally being noticed and appreciated.

@calamarispiderart I really like the magical girl au, and I especially love the little storyboard? Sketches? Of Heart taking out his weapon, and absolutely needed to see it in motion.
