1. Clean up litter from your local parks, creeks, and roadsides

Behind my work site is a dam. I like to fish, so I'll set up in the morning before work and go look for litter. Fishing season in my state opened on the 4th of this month, and fishermen are messy as fuck.

Just this week, I've picked up a broken (but completely repairable!!!) fishing rod, a pocket knife, and... all of this junk.

I know hooks and lures don't entice the average fellow but it's literally free stuff guys. Free stuff! Everyone likes free stuff.

I grew up in bumblefuck, Appalachia. Sometimes I forget that not everyone was raised here.

Every time I see one of you edgelords bring up any creature that isn't supposed to be named, and you name it anyways, I lose it a little.

Your elder relative, maybe an uncle or a grandparent, grabs you by your shoulders. They look you in the eyes. Be loud to scare bears away. Carry a multitool, just in case. Never turn your back on a predator, unless it's calling your name. It's best to not whistle at all if you can help it, but by no means are you safe doing it in the woods, or at night. If the birds and the bugs stop making noise, and everything is still, you run the opposite direction. If you hear any unfamiliar noise at all, no you didn't, go home and don't think too hard about it.

I am a gay, afab transmasc. I have diagnosed audhd. I experience anxiety and ptsd, both of which cause me psychosis. I am also a dog, in some sense.

My partner, and don't have a stroke when I say this, is a cis presenting man from a conservative, ex-amish family. He does not hold their views, obviously, as he is dating me, and has been for a long, long time. He is biro/ace, and if you ask him his gender, you'll see panic flash briefly in his eyes. He's never been diagnosed but this man is positively dripping with autism.

He's a well-meant, endearing mix of "wants to be the safe house in the neighborhood" and "was kinda freaked out of the drag queens at pride because he'd never been around that much queer energy before"

Point is? He's chill with a lot of stuff but still struggles to understand some, because he was raised by close minded adults.

And I'm not venting about him- this isn't a vent about him. I know it sounds like it.

We have been living with each other for the past 2 years ish. I vaguely mentioned once to him, while we were still long distance, that I didn't know if it was a trauma thing, a furry thing, or what, but I enjoyed just... acting like a dog. he didn't understand, but was as supportive as he could be

(I now realize that's a bit of my nonhumanity and yes, trauma,)

but it hasn't been brought up since. and it's getting increasingly harder to hide shifts/regression from him when it happens. and I'm a little frustrated, chat.
