I’m going to answer this OOCly, because Kahni would not give this a straight or honest answer.

Kahni actually really enjoys being around children. She always wanted to be a mother, and despite appearances is quite nurturing. Outwardly, she tries to show herself as not caring one way or another regarding wanting, being around, or having children, but this is far from the truth.

[The text is written in poorly scribbled Eorzean, the script almost childlike. The parchment is old and worn, stained with splotches of water. It’s been buried under Kahni’s bag for what seems like cycles, and has fallen out after she cleaned everything out one day to make room for new items for traveling.]

Everything is a reminder of what I’ve lost. Even these words, they are words taught to me by him. We have no need of the written like this in the depths of the Shroud. Menphina blesses us with the spoken and with keen sight. Everything that was passed down to me was from my mother or aunts, or from the former priestess by word or deed.

He taught me so much, and I taught him things he should never know of. How the forest sings, how everything has its place in the world, how it is all a cycle. I enjoyed indulging the healthy thirst for knowledge, I wanted to share what I knew. In a way, it was amusing to talk to someone who knew so little of what seemed so simple and common knowledge to me. And when he taught me, I understood a bit of the other side, stumbling like a newborn in a world I struggled to comprehend.

I had wanted to laugh forever.

In the end, the forest takes what it gives, that is simply the way of things. I understand this. I understood it when I lost my children. I grieved for them, I buried them, I prayed for them and I continued on. Yet this time I cannot find it in my heart to return home and resume my duties as priestess. I cannot find it in myself to devote myself to Menphina and to the clan when I feel an intrinsic part of myself has disappeared for the last time. I feel I have lost too many pieces of myself, if I lose anything more what will I be able to give to the goddess? To my clan?

Do you ever love a character because you know and understand how complex they are but also kind of hate it because they’re so good at hiding it that it’ll likely never come out in RP?

And they gave me some free aldgoat sliders too. Special ones. And they were so delicious I thought I was going to die from happiness. I am definitely going to go there again.

Everyone was nice and the food was delicious and I left full! I left full.

Someone tried to leave without paying and I think they got shot? I don’t know. And another person was so loud they should try and be an opera singer!

And Crish kept eating my food. >:(

A thin keeper sang on stage and her lyrics were funny! I liked her. She spoke to us as they were closing. I think Crish was impressed by her and wants her to stop by for a season to fatten her up. She is really thin.
