“Yes, of course I’ve hardened, of course I have had to change to survive in this unforgiving world. But somewhere inside me, there still lives a little girl who once tried to invent a time machine, just to go back in time to save Vincent Van Gogh from his sadness when she heard he ate yellow paint to get the happiness inside him.”

I hope you learn to let go of all the things not meant for you.

January- You hate nannying, even for the greatest kids and all the money in the world. You hate nannying. February- We’ve been through this before, turning another year older doesn’t all of a sudden make everything better. In fact, this time it made things worse. March- Quit being angry and resentful over the things with which you have no control. Get mad, go for a run, and get over it. You’re going to kill yourself if you can’t be at peace. Be at peace damnit! April- A plane ticket can fix almost anything, even if it’s to Florida. May- You’re going to learn what real friendship looks like, but it’s not going to be easy. Take care of the good ones and let go of the bad as gracefully as humanly possible. June- You’re going to meet the most wonderful people, and you’ll spend every moment of the summer with them, cherish every single bit of it. July- You learn to detach from relationships that aren’t good for you. Just know that sometimes people don’t have the capacity to be who you need them to, and you don’t have to let that make you mad. August- Pancakes, freezing cold rivers, and warm beer go good together at 10 AM on a Monday. Also, some people suck at goodbyes, don’t hold it against them. September- You finally learned to listen. Now you need to obey. This is really important, you need to do this. October- You were in love. Maybe not with a specific person, but it was a time, a concept, a feeling. It’s okay to mourn that, you might not think so, but it is. November- You’re letting yourself go again. You better save this before you waste anymore of your life. You can lay in bed for the remainder of this month but then you’ve got to get it together. December- I hope you learn to love. Above all I hope you learned to love this year.

I loved her not for the way she danced with my angels but for the sound of her name could silence my demons.
Christopher Poindexter (via wnq-writers)
Isn’t it funny how women have been discriminated by men in disgusting ways throughout all human history but as soon as you hint that you might not have the absolutely highest respect for every male snowflake on earth you become a disgusting, biased oppressor
