you, yes, you!!! you CANNOT tell other people to censor themselves for your own comfort and personal likings. you CANNOT tell them what they can or can’t post. you CANNOT tell them what they can or can’t write. you CANNOT tell them what they can or can’t draw. BUT you CAN block them for whatever reason.

last month my brother, a life long touchscreen hater, had to get his first smartphone because he couldn't pay his rent without one since his bank website no longer allows him to use his personal card reader (given by his bank) to make payments. most public transports outside the main city Require that you use the App to get tickets. the other day I went to a brunch place that wouldn't let me order food without going through the App.

For situations like paying rent, obviously I'm not saying become homeless by refusing the app. I do think you should make it a pain in the ass and a waste of time for the bank employees (yes, i know, that's not very nice, but if their productivity gets tanked every time someone comes in and is trying to do something basic like, idk, pay rent or cash a check or something but can't get the App AND can't do it without the App, there's a nonzero chance that the App gets identified as a source of inefficiency - rate your employee 5/5 on the survey and say they helped so much with a problem that didn't need to exist)

Opt out of things that require an App. (Yes, you'll have to skip things that you like sometimes)

Get a silly little phone that looks like a flip phone (i've got one that's like a 3 inch screen, has android OS, but at first glance looks extremely like a flip phone) and just imply heavily that it can't download an App.
