My thoughts drift to what I would've told you on a certain day

Just having someone I was excited to share my day with was enough

Even if there was never more that was enough

It's a crying shame having feelings for you ruined that

I loved you platonically

Romantic feelings came and faded

But you don't want anything to do with me because they happened?

I guess I should've ignored them instead of trying to talk them out at the time but

Damn it makes our friendship feel like a farce

Because how could you throw something like that away just because of a fading feeling?

Idk my gut tells me I'm in the wrong somehow but my mind is the opposite
